The caretakers are very helpful and found me a place to stay. Because I was living in my tent. Now this is what I live in now

We had a lovely stay at Puntledge in fact so nice, that we had 3 separate stays. The hosts are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed In both dry and partial service sites, both were great and had a lovely, bright feel and great views. I saw lots of reviews slating the shower cards, but there's no issue with them at all, it's all easy to do and very good value and if you don't use your credit you just get the money back, so really it's no stress. Also worth saying, these are among the cleanest bathrooms I've ever used. Very grateful to Puntledge for their hospitality and big love for Mowgli their beautiful Maine Coon š»

The place is amazing. The staff is amazing, friendly kind, generous in comparisons to other local campgrounds. This one is top shelf an amazing stay here. I will again anytime I am given that chance.

Stayed for 3 nights, We stayed in the lower campground near the park as we had smaller kids. The camp ground was quiet, the play ground was great for the kids and the spot on the river was perfect for our little kids to go splash around. We will definitely be back! The kids also loved the soft serve from āOhana!

Pros: - Close to Cumberland which is a great town with mountain biking. - Able to walk to the town of Courtenay. I highly recommend Gladstone Brewing. Cons: - The restrooms were randomly out of toilet paper at certain times. - The showers offer very little privacy and require a card that you must reload at the front office. The front office has āsetā hours, but staff was often not present during the open hours. - As of July 2025, they are putting up fences between every site. This did create some noise, but the fence staff are friendly. - Campground staff said they will be beginning on the construction of a new clubhouse so I imagine this will create a lot of noise and dust.

Have to say the managers who run the park are nice . But 1800.00 plus tax = 2200$ per month , u can get long term rates only if you havr a rv 2006 no less . I don't know about you but for that price I could rent a house with more bedrooms . I don't know but I heard they want the people who are well off money is all anyone wants but it's ridiculous, yes you get full hookup , wifi comes in and goes out more than in . They must need to pay for the renovation of getting over 100 new sites , but beware ita 2200. $

Just got a permanent site here and the management is friendly and informative. The new sites are spacious and nicely designed. With plenty of new amenities being put in. Looking forward to being in our new home base come April.

Owners seem to be tied in with the rampant criminality in Courtenay. Don't support these guys.

The sites are large and decent, the bathrooms are clean, and the people that work here are really nice. However the people staying here and the lack of rules ruined our experience. There were really loud people partying all night and people running their generators until 11pm. If you aren't into partying really late and don't like listening to generators all night, I would recommend going somewhere else!

Always really nice people who stay here. Staff will do anything but you have to remember to ask!
