Rec Springs is such an amazing place to stay, they have amenities to suit everyone. There are RV spots with full hookups, cabins and hotel rooms. The lodge has a full restaurant and bar, with great food!! We have stayed here before and enjoyed it so much that we decided to have my husbands 50th Birthday party here. Brent and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and make everything absolutely perfect. From the steak specials, allowing us to decorate and even having a band. We can honestly not say enough good things about Brent. Please check them out and spend some time there!!!

The room was clean, roomy, very comfortable, and surprisingly affordable. The food was excellent! Plenty of spice in the Taco Salad. The staff were helpful and informative. The motel was conveniently located between Deadwood, Black Hills, Rushmore, and the Spearfish Scenic Byway - SPECTACULAR drive!!! The chipmunk that ran into our room, while we were loading up was adorable but didn't stay long enough to get him any treats.

I checked in last Tuesday in the pouring down rain and John was very helpful in getting me into my room, I had driven 9-1/2 hours and was extremely tired. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, the staff was amazing, my room was clean and comfortable and if I wouldn't have gone to jail, I would have stolen the sheets. 😄 They were softest ones I had ever slept on. The guests I met were very friendly and from different states. The full service restaurant had everything you could want to eat, as well as the bar. It was much more than I would ever have imagined for the price of a room, it was peaceful and quiet and the scenery was wonderful. I have recommended to my many friends who go out to Sturgis every year.

We love this spot for RV camping! The Black Hills are our favorite place to be and this is just the perfect Black Hills campground! The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly, the food and drinks in the restaurant are fantastic and it is the perfect combo of camping and creature comforts:) We have stayed here more than 5 times and each time it is wonderful. Trails are immediately accessible and the riding is SO good up in the Hills! Our favorite thing is the wooded area behind the campsites so we feel like we have privacy and our own oasis with our toy hauler patio down. We would and do reccomend this place up and down a million times over!

Had a great stay at Rec Springs with some friends! All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Their food at the restaurant/bar was very good - great breakfast, pizza, sandwiches, wings. We took UTVs out one day and John was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed to find our way out to the nearby trails and back. I would 100% stay again if I get the chance to come back to SD!

Beware when renting any equipment. They have an out of bounds that you can be charged for. No signage on the trails but they have it marked on maps hanging at checkin counter.

Web site was easy to use: To reserve, submit waiver forms! Our sleds were in perfect condition and easy to use. The paths were well groomed and marked. We are in our 60's and did 116 miles from 8-4:30. Nice young men managing the rental area! Thank you for a great day!

Best weekend getaway! Very clean and cozy cabin with such a comfortable bed. The staff here were all friendly and helpful, went above and beyond. The restaurant is great, ate all meals in the resort decor atmosphere and everything we ordered tasted fantastic. Attended an event involving snow sports, bonfire, food and live music. Had a terrific experience.

This is an awesome place in so many ways! We went for New Years 2022 Celebration and had a blast with the owners Brent & Stephanie Eslinger. They are very kind and cordial and our stay was extremely pleasant in every way. I highly recommend Recreational Springs Resort & Lodge! ☆☆☆☆☆

This was our first time at Recreational Springs Resort. We attended their New Year's Eve Celebration. The food and accommodations were first rate. The ownership and staff were fun and welcoming. The entertainment was top notch. Would highly recommend checking this resort out for a special occasion or just a weekend get-a-way.

We rented 4 four person vehicles and 1 two person vehicle from this company. We downloaded their trail app, and only went on this company's marked trails. We stayed together as a group the entire time, but when we returned our vehicles one was "damaged" with a tiny scrape underneath the vehicle. No other damage to any other vehicles. When we asked how we could have prevented that scrape on a trail full of rocks, they said better "trail selection," even though we never left THEIR marked trails. Great time, but would recommend finding a different company as this place likes to scam people out of their money.

Recently I had the worst accommodations and shockingly poor customer service that I have ever experienced. When I arrived at the Recreational Springs Resort lodge I was issued a very dated room with no working air conditioning. I unloaded my things not realizing that it was not cooling the room. The toilet was also loose in room 12 allowing raw sewage to seep out the base on the floor. After about an hour of waiting for the room to cool down I went to the office for the 2nd time and was moved to room 13. It was a little trouble to repack my items and move rooms but I am not much of a complainer so I remained polite and understanding. I took a shower to clean off the sweat that was burning a recent area that a surgery had been done with fresh stiches. I noticed that the drain in the shower was very slow. During my short shower it was up to my ankles. When I rent a room it definitely bothers me to be standing in ankle deep water that is backing up from something from prior customers. Of course I imagine the worst. However I again went to the office and mentioned it to the a staff member Anita before meeting with a large crowd of friends that were also staying in the camping area and rooms. The next morning when I went to by a bag of ice. The same staff member asked in a sarcastic way if the air conditioning was working good enough and if my shower drain was working good enough for me, as if I had been overly picky. To which I answered "yes mam thank you so much". I was actually just fine with things through all of that , and excited to be in South Dakota enjoying my vacation. We experienced a down poor of rain and hail mid-day Friday and lost power. My friends and I were waiting for the power to come on. We had a small above ground propane burning fire that we were all around. I tried to contact the resort by phone and email. I found the phone mail to be full and I couldn't leave a message. I also emailed the resort. A lodge employee pulled up friday night a began to yell at us for having the small propane burner and threatened to call the sherriff on the majority of customers that were staying in the RV sites and motel. I am on a Bipap machine for sleep apnea. My sleep apnea is a very serious problem. Without the Bipap machine it is very dangerous for me to sleep. When I asked Anita what I could do about this medical issue at about 9pm Friday night, I was told to find another place to stay. I was beside myself at the lack of hospitality I received. At that point I returned to my cave like pich black room and took a completely cold shower by the light of my phone which shortly ran out of power and I had no way to charge it. I was forced to pack up all my stuff into my truck late Friday night. I was fortunate enough to have a small flashlight in my truck to pack up my stuff. The staff was threatening us by calling the police instead of helping her customers. She didn't offer me a battery, generator, glowstick, or even a candle, she just yelled at me from inside her truck. Even making me feel guilty that she was forced to drive from her home to yell at our group. Moments after that she sped off leaving us back in the dark. This was the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I am very upset about the resort putting my safety at risk as I pressed on friday night looking for a place to spend the night. I found myself dozing off many times at the wheel nearly wrecking my truck and trailer. I never found a place to stay that Friday night traveling through east Wyoming. I finally fell asleep in my truck until I stopped breathing and workup in a panic with chest pains that lasted almost as long as the 4 days that it took Recreational springs resort to respond to my email about what to do about my medical condition that same Friday night. I have reached out to Recreational Springs Resort about this terrible experience. I was only answered with nasty comments and complete resistance even with many pictures that Anita asked me to send her. Thank you for absolutely nothing. Not even a candle.  Tom
