My husband and I were RVing when our truck’s transmission broke, and we decided to plant ourselves here while it got fixed. The BEST decision. When calling to book a spot, I told the front desk I didn’t know how long it would take the dealership to fix the truck and they immediately reassured me it was alright and they would make it work for us. It ended up being a whole two weeks (which made us have to scrap the whole second half of our honeymoon) but we were (and still are) so grateful for the Red Bluff KOA. Everyone we spoke to was super kind, accommodating, and helpful. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were lovely and was our oasis while we were dealing with the absolute nightmare situation that our honeymoon turned into. Tyler is an absolute gem- knew both of us by name and consistently went the extra mile to do whatever he could to help us out. The ladies working the office were no different. They were flexible, reassuring, and were very sympathetic to our situation. We stayed at many KOAs on our trip but the Red Bluff KOA was our favorite and continues to hold a place in our hearts- thank you guys for being our saving grace!

We stayed at the Red Bluff KOA while tent camping with our 2- and 4-year-old. While the campground itself seemed nice for RVs, it felt like tent camping was an afterthought, and we wouldn’t choose to tent camp here again. The biggest issue was the tent sites themselves. We were told the campground originally didn’t have tent sites and had added four later, and it showed. Our site was much smaller than a typical campsite and wasn’t even large enough for our family tent. Fortunately, there was a nearby grassy area where we were able to set up instead. The designated tent pad was a small, raised sand box surrounded by wood, which wasn’t very practical for a larger tent. The bathrooms were the highlight of our stay. They were very clean, cool, and well maintained. However, getting to them from the tent sites was frustrating. The stairs and railings leading from the tent camping area were covered in spider webs. My boys like to hold the handrails, but I had to keep reminding them not to because the webs were so thick. What made this more noticeable was that the stairs on the RV side of the bathrooms were clean, making it seem like the tent camping area simply wasn’t maintained as often. The picnic area at our site also suffered from the same problem. The pergola with string lights was a nice touch, but the picnic table, shelves, and surrounding structure were covered in spider webs to the point that we didn’t feel comfortable using them. We didn’t find a dedicated dishwashing station, and we didn’t use the laundry facilities. Noise was another downside. The campground sits right next to the freeway, and traffic woke me up during the night. During the afternoon, we could also hear a lot of boat and jet ski activity from the nearby water, which made the campsite feel less peaceful. Our campsite had virtually no shade, so it became quite hot during the day. We also didn’t use the playground, so I can’t comment on it. Overall, the campground’s facilities were clean, but the tent camping experience left a lot to be desired. If you’re traveling in an RV, your experience may be very different. But for families tent camping with young children, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. On the bright side the sunset was amazing!

Pool is well-kept and spaces are huge. Very big rig friendly. Not a lot of activity and they do seem to attract a lot of one-nighters from I-5. We stayed a week for a visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Suited us perfectly.

Super rude check in, they could use some hospitality lessons. The property was clean but the bocce ball court was not usable as it was overgrown with weeds and the dog park is tiny

Red Bluff KOA Journey is a nicely laid out well kept park with beautiful grounds. Nice swimming pool and facilities. We have stayed here a couple of times because of the convient location on I-5 as we traveled north and south. Easy access from here to Lassen National Park. A bit of road noise from the highway. Although the park is right on the Sacramento River there is no access from the park as it is blocked off by a steel fence and a steep bank. The camping spots that back up to the river are nice and you can see the boating and rafting on the river.

This is a top notch park. Beautifully clean and nice amenities. Easy to navigate even ith a big rig. Highly recommend and we will stay here again! Bonus grocery store and Shari's restaurant is just a few steps away!

We stayed here over the weekend. It was very clean and nicest KOA that any in our group had seen before! Wonderful sites and club house , pool,hot tub and fire pits were fantastic! Friendly staff!! So happy with our stay!!

Completely exceeded expectations and was blown away. We got a site with a concrete pad and a “Paw Pen” so we didn’t have to go far to let our dogs out when they were really needing to go. The campsite is alongside the Sacramento River so you can walk along a trail and enjoy the sound of the water. The campsite is gated with a code after hours to keep non campers out, and to allow you access if you drive out for food/gas/etc… Would recommend and will come back if travels take me near again.

This KOA was immaculate. I’ve worked at a KOA and we have been to different KOAs around the country and this one is by far our favorite. So clean, the spots were large, and the pool/hot tub were so nice!

E bike got stolen. The administration should have been more upfront with their issues with theft. They should have said “we highly suggest you store your bikes with us due to bike theft”. Freeway and trains are loud distractions. Situated next to the river which draws insects at night making it difficult to be outside. Restaurant Sheri that is recommended was dirty, old with poor service.

I made the on Line reservation paid for my reservation and drove to the Kaley. Campgrounds only to be looked at when I walked in the office like I was an insect. And she was kind to everybody. That would walk in but wouldn't say a word to me. Says they're looking at her computer and then finally just said. I'm gonna have to refund your money back to you. And when I asked why she said oh well your r v Is too old. To me, that is unacceptable in this day and age. Why isn't that information asked for before you reserve it and pay for it? And go through all of that headache, only to be turned away.. It was the rudest experience that I've had in a long time. And I definitely would not recommend the KOA in Red Bluff, California.

Beautiful and tidy Rv park. Nice concrete sites framed by grass and some trees. Picnic tables at each site. The site is pretty close to the highway, but the traffic noise wasn’t bad. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice koa. One of the best I’ve been to. Clean, level sites, good utilities. Lg clubhouse, lg pool. Give it 4.5 due to very small dog run. Happened to be here on Wednesday. Downtown very close and went to the farmers market. Quaint city with murals all over.

We had a great visit! We stayed in the river front spots and they were very spacious, we wish the weeds behind the fence were maintained so we could have a view of the river, but otherwise they were GREAT spots. The whole park is very well maintained. The pool area is wonderful, lots of space, shade, and seating options. My kids enjoyed the basketball court, watching the duck in the ponds, catching tiny frogs by the ponds in the mornings, swimming, and lots of bike riding while here. I used the gym, and though small it was a decent set up and I was able to use equipment to get my normal workouts in. It is close to the freeway so there is freeway noise but overall is a great location. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Nice park, but the dog park is a small dirt patch. Very disappointing for a park with such nice amenities for people. When I walked our dog instead, the common grounds had lots of foxtail grass which is dangerous for dogs. Overpriced for such a disappointing place. Many people travel with dogs these days. Fancy water fountains are pretty, but you need to relocate your dog parks and do something about the foxtail grass.
