I stayed here tent camping for about 2 weeks. The people who run this campground are amazing folks. Its quite and peaceful here. I would definitely be back. If you looking to camp peacefully this is the place to go. They have a heated bathouse that is cleaner than any bathroom I've ever seen. Showers are hot and run great. They have laundry as well. Great amazing place!

We camped at Red Gates RV Park September 23-Sept 27. We enjoyed the atmosphere as a smaller campground it was very pleasant to camp there with our dog. Our site (#12) was very spacious and the setting for the campground is very pretty. Our trip was a short one - this trip was to attend a play at Flat Rock Playhouse. This campground is very near to both the playhouse and to Grandad's Apple House which is a tradition for us. It is nice to have the local restaurants and an Ingles market nearby. We will indeed return for a visit.

The park is clean, safe, shady, & was conveniently located for all of our adventures. However, this small park has a good number of seasonal residents who are quite content to have the park to themselves. One resident even recorded us as we set up our camper. That was a bit unnerving.

Great little campground! We didn't really know what to expect based on the reviews but everyone was friendly, the campground was really clean and it's soo quite! In fact it was so quite that we slept with the windows open enjoying the cool early fall nights. Will stay here again when in the area.
