We live in our travel trailer and because Duluth is a busy area we have spent time in most of the RV parks in the greater Duluth area and Red Pine is our favorite. The clubhouse is the star of the park. The laundry room has big washers and dryers that actually work. No wasting your precious quarters here! And there is only one shower per gender but in the many times we stayed there I had to wait for it once. It’s always clean, always hot, and very spacious. Also, there’s stuff to do in the clubhouse if you get bored, and A SINK FOR WASHING DISHES. Folks this is like gold, trust me. Also, there’s pretty water around you and a beautiful trail if you brought your pup or just like a scenic walk. And the owners are SO kind and SO accommodating. They are constantly working and updating things. I wish I’d taken a pic to share it but they had just made a wooden map of the park on their CNC and they were staining it when we left for the season. People talked about some train and vehicle noises in their reviews which is fair, but you will honestly not find an RV park in Duluth that doesn’t have that problem. And *most people are quiet and when we had a problem with someone the owners were quick to do something. So even with the more narrow spaces you should be fine. For the price and the fact that t’s full hook up’s, look no farther than Red Pine. We’ll definitely be back if we’re in Duluth again.

Our Lake Superior Circle tour took us through the Duluth area at the end of September. As color season was in full swing, many campgrounds right on our route were full. Red Pine is an about 30 minutes off route, but they had vacancy so we booked. Our late check in was very easy. Owners are pleasant. Campground is neat and tidy, well maintained. We stayed in site 51 directly across from one of the lakes. We have a popup, and Red Pine is more of an RV park, so our standards are a little different. We felt like the sites were small (narrow), putting us right up against our neighbors. The campground was near capacity, so we were hemmed in by bigger rigs. We had noisy neighbors one night, and being in the popup they did keep us awake. (On the upside, another neighbor saved our canopy from the wind while we were gone one day, so not all neighbors are annoying!) The sites have a nice picnic table and fire ring, gravel for parking, grass for sitting, full hookups. The campground is near Hwy 53, and the traffic noise is nearly constant day and night. There is also a train track nearby and we heard trains periodically day and night. There is one bathroom to service the whole campground (most rvs have their own setups, but ours, again, is a popup). Our site was about as far away as we could be from the bathroom - we were glad to have bikes to make that trip quicker. The restrooms are in a clubhouse of sorts. Not many stalls and only one shower, but on even this busy weekend, I rarely saw anyone there and never had to wait. The showers are amazing! Spacious, immaculate, hot water and plenty of it, great shower head - just like home! The clubhouse had a pool table, vending machines, books, videos, puzzles, games, laundry facilities…would be very nice in a rainy day. If you’re looking for an RV park, I think this is great. Convenient to many attractions in the area, many things to do, etc. If you’re looking for quiet and nature, you may be disappointed. It’s great for what it is - but it may not be for everyone.

This campground is a hidden gem. The family who owns it were very friendly and helpful. The shower house/community center is well equipped for entertainment and laundry use. It's just minutes from Duluth (and the greater Duluth area) for any needs you might have. We were quite pleased with our stay. Highly recommend.

We couldn't ask for a better place to kick off our camping season! The spots are large and very well maintained. Great location, easy to find, wonderful amenities. We will be back!

We are on a month-long road trip from Arizona to experience some of the Great Lakes. We don’t often make reservations ahead of time so we can keep an open schedule. Red Pine Campground suited us perfectly with full hookups, a clubhouse with laundry, showers/bathroom, & game room. The property is gorgeous, well-kept and convenient to Duluth and the North Shore. The owner was very kind & helpful. There are several small lakes within the property and they have canoes/kayaks and PFDs for guests to borrow. This would be a great place to stay for a week or more if you want to explore the area fully.

Great fall camping experience! Making a reservation/checking in was a breeze and the owners are nice people. Although sites are fairly close everyone is respectful of each other’s privacy. This is a quiet campground, no late night shenanigans to worry about. Close to nearby stores and Duluth. We were given permission to use our Jon Boat with electric trolling motor in the ponds, do not recommend as its to weedy. I would stick with kayaking. My husband caught several pikes in the ponds, just fishing from shore. Definitely will be back.

We are six weeks into a full-time RV nomadic pilgrimage and have stayed at multiple RV parks. To date, Red Pine Campground is the best we've experienced. The grounds are beautiful, there are three lakes, very well maintained walking trails and large lots. The family who owns the park seems to be very professional, yet personable and friendly. We can't believe how nice and pristine the shower, laundry, and club house is. Highly recommend.

A beautiful well maintained park with larger than average sites located far enough out of town to be “in the country” but close enough for shopping, etc. There are several lakes around the park. They feature a mix of 30 and 50 amp sites, some with just water and some also have sewer, all on gravel pads. The bathhouse is really upscale and includes the laundry and a community room with a couple of card tables, a coin operated pool table, a vending machine, a TV, and some books and movies. I did not notice any tent sites. I would stay here again if in the area.

While the owner did great physical upkeep of the place, the owners have to be possibly the most judgemental, petty people I have yet to come across in a business up here. If you're old with money, you have nothing to worry about, you'll fit in fine. But if you're young with an older RV, be prepared to be heavily judged, looked down upon, and treated like you barely exist. We stayed there 1 season before moving on. While there, the experiences we had with the owner made us feel like we were low class, second-rate citizens that didn't deserve to be there, she was only halfway fake nice to us cuz she felt she had to be... when she would mow, she would actually skip over us and mow the yards all around us, give us distasteful judgemental looks, and a number of other very petty behaviors. We would watch her talk to the older residents with big fancy expensive setups with smiles and joy, then turn around talk to us as if we were homeless people on the corner asking for her change. My wife's mom called before the season began this year, to ask about availability for a season spot, and immediately upon realizing who she was calling for, the owner very sharply and rudely said, "no we don't have anything open" and actually hung up on her without even so much as a "thank you for your interest" or even a "goodbye" of any kind. Due to the judgemental, look down their nose at you kind of owners, I would not recommend their resort to any RV 'rs. That is unless you're old with money and a big fancy rig.

I am so sick & tired of rude, unprofessional service everywhere nowadays. When did businesses decide decent customer service was no longer needed?? Especially when the customer is friendly and NOT being difficult. Sent a very pleasant nice please and thank you email regarding availability and the RUDE response I get is "no we are full for seasonals". , how about "thank you for contacting us, unfortunately we do not have available sites " ....based on that extremely rude response it sounds like I probably dodged a bullet!

There are new owners here and they are awesome! Very nice and easy to work with. The sites are really nice and the ponds on the property are awesome. The restrooms and showers are really clean and the game room is an awesome bonus. Awesome to stay either nightly or for the season I would imagine.

new owners. We needed help and there was NONE. It was probably not the owners fault, we were there on a holiday and things were either cosed or full. Im sure they did the best they could.
