I love this review, right in the name of it it says campground yet it wants me to review rooms and service like I was in a hotel. I guess Google AI needs to still learn the difference between campground and hotel. As for the Campground it's a great location there's no amenities but you're right next to the ocean we love going there we go there as often as we can.

Great camping area, small spaces, but beachfront views and access. I have been camping there for years as a local from Ventura. I have never had a problem there until recently. There are individuals scoping the campgrounds seeing what they could steal. They come at night, check car doors and around your campsite grabbing anything that they can. Lock everything up.!!!!! The Ranger told me that’s part of camping here it happens. Maybe Ventura County should step up their patrols of the area. Especially now that they’re charging $45 a night and having stricter regulations for camping there.

Rincon Parkway is an incredible value for what you get. This is definitely not a resort and doesn’t try to be one, but the ocean views are absolutely amazing. We could hear the waves all night, which made for a really memorable stay. The campground feels like an old roadside pull-off along the coast, with very minimal amenities. Trash cans were the only real amenity, so come prepared and know what you’re signing up for. There is a train line and freeway running alongside the park, so there is traffic noise, but for us the sound of the ocean easily outweighed it. If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills coastal spot with unbeatable views at a great price, this place delivers. I would definitely stay here again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who values location and scenery over luxury.

Beach is perfect dày off with the cats. Sunny and clear. Quiet and relaxing. Purchased some food and snacks and had a couple of snuggly blankets. Watched a movie on my phone and took a long nap. Very safe too.

Great place to RV. Few feet from the ocean. Awesome sunsets and views. No hookups so charge your batteries or have solar.

Camping in a parking space parallel to the beach. $45 a night, must reserve online. Trains run next to the road but the sound of the ocean waves 24/7 is worth it. Fantastic sunsets. No frills but exciting to be so close to the beach.

Having lived in Carpinteria in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s the Rincon “Parkway” was a forlorn spot on the coast that no one bothered to stop at, much less want to spend a night at. Just a funky stretch of highway 1 next to the railroad tracks and dismal beach area. Every 4 AM the freight train blasts through guaranteed to wake you up! But now that the masses have invaded California it’s considered a “slice of Heaven”, just because it’s on the water and it’s equated with Malibu homes that go for millions. It’s fine… I get the fantasy folks have created in their minds over this stretch of Highway 1… the trouble is the area is over-run with thieves that will steal anything that isn’t brought inside, ground squirrels with the plague and when I camped their with my RV for 4 days (only because every other campground was full), my RV was overrun with ants. Millions of ants. Lower your expectations folks and bring bug spray and sun screen. Who knows, you might be front and center for the Big One… the earthquake and tsunami that is overdue by 50 years !

We were so looking forward to camping “at the beach” in Sept 2025, after having driven along 101 for years and looking down at all the RVs parked along the “beachfront camping.” We finally made a reservation and were so disappointed! There is a 4 foot wall of boulders along the road between the campsites and the beach… and if (IF) you manage to scramble UP and over the wall, there would be about a 5 foot drop to the beach!!!! I can’t even imagine how this public campground would be ADA compliant! As for the view: When we set up our camp chairs alongside our RV, all we could see was a wall of boulders!!!! No ocean view at all! We drove about 1 mile along the “campground/road” up one direction and then in the other direction to see if there was some break/public access to the beach. NOPE! You would think that they could have a break/gap in the wall where the porta potties and dumpsters are but NOPE! No access whatsoever. Some campers may get lucky if the boulder wall is low where they are but for the rest of us: NO ACCESS. Again, I can’t see how this public campground is at all ADA compliant or even accessible as a courtesy accommodation for older or mobility challenged people. Very disappointing.

Oceanfront camping. Climb down a few rocks and you are steps from the sand. Bring your own everything -fire pit, table, lighting, etc. No hookups. Just an asphalt parking spot with excellent ocean views.

Great beach camping! Opening your camper door and the beach is right there. We got lucky with 6 days of sun and only 1 day overcast. Amazing time!

Great place. Reservations needed otherwise ranger will ask you to leave. No camping tents allowed, only rvs between the lines. Don't touch the plants. Some of them are toxic [urtica] and please pick up your trash

Amazing spot right on the water for viewing the dolphins and wales swimming by. Beach access. Sites are pretty close to each other which is why I have it 4 ⭐️. The breakfast burrito was amazing at the shack with really friendly staff.

Rincon Parkway offers an incredible experience if you’re looking to park your RV or trailer right on the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and having the beach just steps away is hard to beat. The beach itself is beautiful, with plenty of soft sand in certain spots, though some areas can be a bit tricky to access due to rocks—especially if you’re not parked in one of the prime locations. It’s important to note that this campground is right off the main highway, so if you have small kids or pets, you’ll need to be extra cautious. The only restroom facilities are Porta potties, and there are no hookups, so come prepared to dry camp. Overall, the oceanfront views and vibe make it worth it, but just be aware of the trade-offs.

Basic camping with one specific amenity that makes it pretty awesome. 10 feet from the beach. Beyond that don't expect much. No hookups, no bathrooms or laundry. Well there's a porta potty or two and a couple dumpsters for trash but you're paying for the view and sounds of the pacific ocean. Affordable pricing.

After staying here a few nights to go to Channel Islands. I feel this place is a lot of money just to boondock. There was a big concrete wall in front of our site so we couldn’t hardly see the water. People were parked closer to Faria beach in the no parking sign area for free and unhooking to do stuff. With plenty of police driving by turning a blind eye. However since there are not many options otherwise do what you have to do.
