Rio Verde RV Park

Great little place. We stay in Cottonwood every year at various RV Parks around the area. Saw this last year and decided to give it a try. Definitely a good decision, the price was decent, the staff was fabulous on check in, simple process and the site was waiting for us as promised. RV spots are large, utilities all modern and easily located for quick set up. The whole facility was clean and well kept. We Loved the location by the river, but with the drought, it wasn’t very deep but still enjoyed walking along the banks. We will be back and will have no problems staying here again.

We were greeted by a very friendly office worker when we arrived. The park is clean. The lots are level with easy access. The bathrooms are very clean with the shower in each individual bathroom. Most spaces have a shade tree. It is very quiet here and really close to shopping in town. Points of interest are a short drive away.

Highly recommended campground. From the friendly check-in to the well numbered and signed spaces, it was a joy to be here. We stayed along the river, I recommend #32! The camp was clean, well kept. Clean bathrooms and nice walking trails. Don't miss out on the hile to the platform at Sugarloaf. It's only about a 15 minute hike and the views are fantastic. You can't hike to the very hilltop, private property, but still worth it.

We had a wonderful stay this weekend! We had a late check-in, the staff was kind enough to call us and let us know how to check-in. They even had a map waiting for us after hours with directions and instructions! Highly, highly recommend sight #47. We had a great view of the Verde River and enjoyed our morning walks along it. The park was only a few minutes from Old Town Cottonwood, which we got to enjoy. The free WiFi was solid, we were able to stream on multiple devices. We will absolutely return in the future!

We are SO happy we found this place! Site #33 with the Verse River view was perfect. Just big enough to not feel crowded and easy to get in to. And the dog off leash area down by the river is a puppy paradise! (See my pics!) Also, Amanda in the front office is awesome… she could give master’s class on welcoming guests and making them feel well cared for. We would definitely come back if we’re in Cottonwood again 😁 ~@therunawaypeach

Mandy is a great park manager. She, Kaylene, Jeremy and the camp hosts were professional, polite and totally attentive to my needs and the coach's needs. Very well ran park. Facilities snd campsites meticulously cared for and maintained. Lots of awesome hikes immediately adjacent to the park and along the Verde River. Old Town Cottonwood is nearby. Convenient to Sedona. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed two nights at Rio Verde RV- we had a great pull through site. The location was convenient, and is about 20-30 minutes from Sedona sites. Once in our RV, road noise was eliminated- they had a nice dog “park”, and it was also easy to get all down to the river area for off-leash play. Bathrooms were clean, single user rooms. We would stay again if in the area.

Rio Verde RV Park is a pretty quiet, clean and easy to navigate park. While this is a fairly basic park (e.g. no pool or other on site entertainment), it was a great place to stop and enjoy the area. We parked along the river and the road noise wasn't bad. Some of the road side spots might have more noise. The laundry room was clean with well functioning machines (fair pricing too). Didn't use the restrooms. There are several fake grass areas for dogs (only 1 appeared to be a small off-leash area). Super easy access trails for walking or biking. All the staff were interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again if we're in the area.

My wife and I stayed here for a week while exploring the Sedona area. Location is convienently located to Fry's Grocery, Home Depot and several restaurants. Its only a 15 min drive into Sedona which was fine for us. We stayed at a pull through lot that provided plenty of space along with fire pits. The office sells wood and Propane. The price for propane is fair when you consider they come to your site, pick up the propane canisters and bring them back full

Love this park! The location is very convenient and the grounds are pleasant and well kept. If they're full you might end up pretty close to the noisy highway but other than that, excellent! They have among the nicest bathrooms/showers I've seen at a park and the staff was gracious and helpful for me during an unusual situation.

We had to make a last minute change to add a day to our stay due to a mechanical issue with our rig. Mandy not only took care of the cancellation and rebooking of our stay (since we were on the road driving) with grace and kindness, she recommended Josh from RV Tank Specialists! Our stay was great! This RV park is nice and quiet. There were a couple of dogs that barked a bunch but thankfully they left after our first night. Bathroom/showers are always nice and clean. Electric, water, sewer, all worked well! This was our second stay at Rio Verde! We will absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Rio Verde RV park! We were in a river site, and we appreciated being away from the road noise. The bathrooms were sparkling clean and the showers were hot with good pressure. The location is convenient to Sedona, but without the congestion! Also convenient to shopping in Cottonwood. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their website and recommendations. If we ever return to the Sedona area we will definitely stay here again!!

Loved this RV park. It was the perfect location between Sedona and Cottonwood with access to all the sites in the area. It was clean and had lots of shade. I really appreciated their attention to safety for the dogs. They had a lovely dog park with grass and shade and also Smaller grass areas in the park for dogs to relieve themselves when they were out walking. They even take attention to use safe, pet friendly Weed management. They were always friendly and went so far as to loan me an umbrella. There were excellent restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store and there was even some desert trails to walk. This is the kind of place you want to stay on vacation, I highly recommend!

We’re on a 4 week road trip and this was one of the nicest parks we’ve seen. Mandy does an outstanding job - so friendly and helpful. Her restaurant list was a little extra treat and provided great ideas. Cottonwood has a lot more to offer than most people know, and a quick trip to Jerome makes for a nice day. Mandy’s recommendation for dining there was “spot on”. You can tell the park is well managed. Attention to detail is evident. They picked up my propane bottle, filled it and brought it back. We highly recommend Rio Verde RV Park.

Located on the Verde River with great proximity to Cottonwood. Sites are mostly treed with full hook ups. Nice trail to adjacent hill top with spectacular views! Also a short tail along the river. There are two tiny homes for rent, also right on the river. Will definitely visit again!
