I planned a big group camping weekend for my Adventure Guides crew at River Bend Resort in late October 2025 (about 100 dads and kids total) and let me tell you, George, Michelle Evan and Mark absolutely *rolled out the red carpet* for us. I reached out in August (short notice for a fall weekend that size), and they not only made it happen but did it flawlessly and at a discounted group rate to make it affordable for our young familes. From the moment we arrived, everything just clicked. The cabins were spotless, cozy, and surprisingly spacious - we had anywhere from 2-5 people in each, and everyone was comfortable. The canvas tents held up beautifully, even through a night of heavy rain... warm, dry, and cozy the whole time. What really sets River Bend apart from the other “Googleable” campgrounds in the area is its intimacy and natural beauty. It’s tucked into the redwoods along a stunning stretch on the Russian River - peaceful, personal, and picturesque - without the noise, crowds, or chaos you get at the bigger, more commercial sites nearby. You can feel the pride and care that George and Michelle (the owners) put into every inch of the property; it’s clear they love this place and the guests they host. The staff went *above and beyond* for our kids (tractor rides, outdoor movies, opening up large indoor areas during the rain etc.) and somehow balanced giving us space to do our thing while always being there when we needed something. They delivered firewood to our sites, brought out electric pumps for our rafts, and made sure every little detail was covered. Even ordering food to the campsite was easy and having the Russian River Pub next door wasn't too shabby either ;) and having playgrounds, an arcade, and wide open areas gave the dads peace of mind knowing the kids could roam safely. It also was nice that the RV park is on the completely other side of the property, so camping/RV are mutually exclusive giving the camping space a GREAT vibe. Every site had its own firepit, the decorations were charming, the facilities were spotless, and the vibe was just perfect... laid-back, family-friendly, and full of heart. Our crew couldn’t stop raving about how easy and fun the weekend was, and honestly, I can’t think of a single thing that could’ve gone better. River Bend Resort is a hidden gem - a beautiful, well-run, *intimate* slice of redwood heaven on the river. We’re already planning to make this an annual trip. Massive thanks to the whole team for making lifelong fans out of all of us. 10/10. Can’t recommend RBR enough!

This place was fantastic! It's like being at summer camp. The river is so beautiful and clean. The kids crafts kept my kids so entertained and it was just so great to unplug from the world for a few days. It's not even a far drive but it feels like a different world. I will for sure go back. Heaven on Earth.

My wife and I have been living at Rivers Bend Resort in our 5th wheel for the past year (long term resident), and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Whether you’re looking for a short camping trip or a long-term stay like we were, this place is an absolute gem. The location is peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly situated along the river — ideal for relaxing, fishing, or just enjoying nature. The grounds are well-maintained, with clean facilities and a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. What makes this resort stand out even more is the incredible family that owns it. They’ve been nothing but kind, responsive, and genuinely great people to interact with. That goes for every employee we've met also — friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We’ve stayed at a number of long term RV locations over the years, and this one is hands-down our favorite. If you're considering a stay here, it's highly recommended. Whether you're just passing through or looking for a more permanent spot, you'll find everything you need.

My daughter and I took a spontaneous weekday trip to River Bend Resort on the Russian River, planning to stay for just a night or two. We ended up extending our stay to a full week—and we’re so glad we did. Despite the campground being fully booked, the staff worked with us to find available spots each night, and we moved around a few times without issue. For the last two nights, we stayed in one of their glamping cabins, which was a perfect mix of comfort and outdoor charm. What really stood out was the level of care we received from the manager, Evan. He went out of his way to make sure we were accommodated throughout the week, and more importantly, made sure my daughter had the best camping trip of her life. His kindness and attention made all the difference. River Bend is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place where people genuinely care about your experience. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We recently stayed at their newest cabin, the Outpost. It has a private room with a queen bed, a new bathroom/ shower, and a full kitchen. It’s a very charming cabin with plenty of room. My family had a blast floating down the river, making arts and crafts, and eating popcorn at movie night. The vintage arcade room was awesome. Great family vacation spot.

We had an amazing experience at River Bend Resort! When we arrived, we realized we had accidentally booked our reservation for the following weekend. Thankfully, the manager Even went above and beyond to help us with a creative solution so we could still enjoy our stay. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the bathrooms were spotless, and the entire place felt like a mini heaven. We’re seriously considering coming back again next weekend - it was that good! Highly recommend!

This is such an awesome camp site, it’s clean and really well-maintained. They have so many different options for ways to stay and they have tons of activities for kids. The store is super well-stocked and honestly not super overpriced. Plus, we love the river in the summertime.

My two kids and I camped here this weekend. Awesome spot! We went down to the river and sent it off the rocks. We stayed in a tent cabin, definitely the move. Quinn and Zane were super helpful, they made it a 10/10 experience. Coming back for sure. Check this place out!

All the praise to the staff at River Bend Resort you guys were amazing. Just before we arrived my boyfriend had proposed to me at a nearby winery and one of my friends in the group informed the staff 😅 They all congratulated us and went above and beyond to make it memorable. Aside from that, my group loved the campground and had a fantastic weekend. They were also very helpful leading up to the trip answering the phone and my questions. We will definitely return to this campground! Thank you so much to the River Bend Resort team for making the weekend very memorable!!!

I came into town last week on June 27, 2024. We go there every year to celebrate my husband celebration of life. I’ve been there 27 years at his camp resort. We love it so much the people are so outstanding I’m met one of the nice kids that work there this year. His name is Mark, his name just happened to be Mark just like my husband when he first introduce himself. We all went. Of course your name is Mark. He didn’t understand but we told him the story that he had passed away of cancer we told him you’re the best we ever had that worked with us throughout the whole weekend , very hard-working young man. I hope when we go back in a couple weeks or a month or so he’s still there. He makes a lot of character for that place. He has a great personality and he’ll bring you whatever you need. We stayed here a few weeks ago. Was a trip from hell. Got caught in the storm.Damage to our RV caused by the floods/storm. When we arrived the site had no water or power. The whole area was hit hard. No issues we have our own generator: water tanks. Just wanted to get set up dry off. When we arrived we were met by Bill gentleman helped us get parked & set up. In doing so he also got soaked with the rain. Even came back in the rain to say the pub was open doing food. After all we had this guy welcomed us. We met the owner on the day we departed even offered us to stay over another night free, wish we could have stayed longer: great RV park with nice helpful people. See you again Andy & Dara.

We rented one of the Stumptown Luxury tent cabins for my mom's 65th birthday weekend and had a blast! Very family friendly, lots of activities for the kiddos and even though the river itself is very low it's still definitely fun to play in! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some time out this way!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay. We booked the same weekend as a few other families we knew and had such a great time gathered around the main fire pit. Access to the river is easy. The little general store is adorable and well stocked (I forgot so many things 🤦🏼‍♀️) TONS of stuff for the kids to do. Dog friendly! We will be back for sure.
