This is our second RV trip and stay with our brand new Odyssey Entegra. Our first hook up and state park stay. I didn't know what to expect but was confident in the choices my husband made. It turns out, this is a great start. The RISP is a small park, nestled in a small nook between mountains, offering privacy and quiet. The park offers WiFi but it's spotty because of the mountains you are surrounded by. It has a small boat ramp and small beach. The RV lots are spacious. You won't see, RVs parked 6 feet from each other like on our third trip. Each site has table, grill, and fire pit. I gave it a four star because the sites don't have full hook ups. The sites have power and water only but it has a dump station towards the front of the park. The park also offers bathrooms (which are kept very clean) with showers and a dish washing sink in the back. It has a nice size dog park, and it's kept cleaner than I thought, with a few turds here and there. There are a couple of short but tough walking trails (not for the faint of heart). If you check in after hours your name is placed on a piece of paper on the front door of the office. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were gone for 5 hour and left our dogs in the RV and the staff was very helpful in taking our phone number in case of emergency. If you stay here, you will have access to its sister park, Buckskin Mountain State Park (too busy for y taste) which is 5 minutes away. There are other parks nearby that you can visit. If you like to play golf, they're is a golf course about five minutes away. Overall, I enjoyed a pleasant stay at RISP.

Beautiful and clean. The camper/RV spots are easy to pull through and each has a picnic table, fire pit, and water and power hookup. Nice bathrooms on both ends, and a great area near the boat launch to enjoy the river.

Absolutely memorable experience! Absolutely clean, great view of river and mountains. People who work/volunteer there are some of the nicest people you could meet. Electricity, water, bathrooms, showers, sink to wash dishes. They provide it all. I intend to revisit.
