Tucked away alllllll the way to the back is this hidden little gem of a park. Now I'm just reviewing the park on this since me and our 1 year old like to go to ALL of them. It's got a little pond with ducks that you can feed. Saw some people fishing with their Littles at the pond as well. The park is nice. 2 things I wish it had is #1 shade and #2 rubber mats instead of the bark.... I can't stand the bark, but thats not stopping us from playing. I saw no trash and the equipment is well maintained which is a plus. We visit at least once a week. There is construction at the beginning of the park as you come in as they are upgrading the RV/Camping areas which is a LONG time coming but a plus for the community and our visitors.

It's now 2025, so I thought it was time to re-review this park. In the years since my review, positive changes have been made. They are slowly upgrading the camping spots, with the new spots looking fantastic! There is more care being given to cleanup & maintain the park again. Though lots of trees & park equipment are gone, it leaves open space to work with in the future. It also features the only dump station I know of in Lompoc, so that's very helpful. Thankfully without people there to harass them, it seems the duck population is coming back.

We loved staying at this park, the RV area may not be attractive but it's a very quiet place to stay and the park next door is nice. The park rangers are also friendly. The only bad part is if you're relocating you can not stay longer than 21 days, you have to leave for a week then can return. However, if you're on a temp assignment for work then you can apply to stay an extended amount of time without having to leave.

Nice park for the whole family! Lots of green grass to run in and the park is good for all ages. There's a walking path and horseshoe pits plus plenty of picnic areas.

Place is a work in progress. The staff is super friendly and great people, very helpful. They have started to remodel the place a few spots at a time. Been staying here for a few months now. They had about six or eight newly renovated spaces but wouldn't allow people to stay in them. Money wasted. Instead of getting people into the new ones and starting work on some more spaces. There is a dry river bed behind the park and it is a haven for coyotes, mountain lions, and homeless hoards. My daughters vehicle has been broken into twice now.

Nice affordable place to put your trailer but the ranger likes to mess with people. Too many rules and regulations. Tried to say we violated the rules too many times and threatened to kick us out for 3 years!

Not many amenities but a cool place to walk, fish, or take kids to the playground. Be aware, most (if not half) of the pictures are of the La Purisma Mission; not River Park. 🤔

Parks nice but the Rangers are bored and have nothing else to do then harass anyone who comes in, never coming back.

It's a relatively cool park as far as open space goes (drone flying is recommended here). There's a clean pond with fish and ducks, great for ambiance, aesthetics, picnics you know the deal.

We enjoy walking the track in the mornings and evenings as well. The distance markers are great way to gage your walk/ run. It's just a hair under a mile around the loop. Very picturesque with the ducks around the pond as well. There are an abundance of RV sites with electrical hook ups and shower facilities as well. Great place to spend the day with friends and family too for BBQ. Horse shoe pits and reserveable party areas round out the parks offerings.
