Riverside Park Campground in Vanderhoof is a peaceful spot right by the Nechako River — perfect if you want nature without being too far from town. I liked how easy it was to walk to shops and grab a bite, yet still feel tucked away. The sites are well-maintained, and having water and electricity hookups is a big plus. Washrooms and showers were clean during my stay, and the free Wi-Fi at the office was a nice touch. On the downside, the campground can get busy during peak season, and some sites feel a bit close together. Also, if you're looking for deep wilderness, this is more of a hybrid spot. Still, it’s a solid choice for a relaxed, convenient camping experience.

Cheap over priced spot with only power . Washrooms totally terrible access to disabled people . Stayed in many B.C. Forestry campgrounds 10 times better . But was a spot to crash and Richard the Host was whitey and Humorous and made up for it Chef D .

Hesitated to come here because of the previous reviews but very glad I did. Completely safe, no issues with any homeless, all of the bathrooms and showers are locked with code so no one but guests can get in. Big private sites, next to park with a great playground for kids.

I went to stay here but unfortunately upon check-in the gentleman checking me in told me how awful the place was and that I needed to lock everything up make sure to keep everything inside my motorhome or it could be stolen also that there'd be heroin needles found in the bathroom so I went to my campsite thought about this information and decided it'd be smarter to drive 30 minutes down the road lost $ but probably a smarter decision

Very friendly host and clean campsites. The showers are a bit rough. Had a bit of a strange vibe with random people (non-campers) walking through the grounds. When we checked out we were told that it’s best to keep all your stuff locked away due to the theft, homelessness and drug use in the area and under the bridge at the back of the campground. The neighbouring park is really beautiful and fantastic for kids. We had booked two nights but moved on after one due to the vibe and RCMP being there to manage the homeless and foot traffic.

Didn't camp here, just enjoyed a short walk in the park. Nice place.

An awesome park in the outskirts of town. Enjoyed sitting in the lookout watching the sunset over the lake.

Very nice facilities. Good hook-ups, no black or grey water hook up however. Very accessible dump station as you leave the RV park. Wi fi only outside the office - but easily accessed and quite quick. Nice walking trail along the river.
