We love Riverside. Electric and water hookups, no sewer. They empty your grey and black tanks every Monday for those that stay through the week or more. Camp host Brad is awesome, attentive, cool and calm, and has a handle on the whole park. The views, the trees, the river, the walks over the bridge to the pavilion by the ponds make Riverside so special. We loved camping around tent campers, people camping out of their cars, and others with RV's like us. Diverse, active guests, and everyone was friendly to each other, respectful. The park is across from all the supplies you need. We would definitely stay here again.

Really clean sites, lots of room. Plenty of grass and trees. Water and electric hook-ups. They come around once a week and empty sewage tanks with their "HONEY WAGON". Great place to stay. I give it 10/10. Camp host Brad was the absolute best. Really nice, and super friendly. We had no problems getting a later check-out because of an appointment at Heart of the Rockies. We will be staying here again!!

As noted in another recent review, this is an older campground. The 30 amp electrical service at site 22 was inadequate to power the AC and refrigerator in our small camper. If we pulled more than 20 amps, the service voltage would drop enough that our EMS would shut off the service. While we were there, ambient temperatures were in the mid-90's, and it was very hot in our camper. The host seemed surprised at our power problems. He did refund us some money to the same price as non-service sites. The staff is very nice and responsive. The shower/bath house is not in the same area as the RV sites, so there is a bit of a hike. The sewage dump site is not conveniently located, and requires RVs to back into it. This can cause quite the traffic jam when attempting to dump. Numerous sites are well shaded and the near the river. I do not plan to stay here again until the campground updates.

Fairly good campground with a tent area for GDMBR cyclists. Brad the camp host is friendly and helpful. The tent area has a covered picnic area, but when the wind is strong it is a wind tunnel. We paid $40 per night which is quite expensive considering the facilities. No water or electricity at the tent area. The showers and toilets are a fair distance away and do not deserve more than 3 stars. Closer to the entrance there is also a covered area (closed on one side so the wind does not blow through) with more facilities such as electricity, a microwave and lighting. You can charge your device here. Wifi available and average at tent area.

We were having RV troubles on our way into Salida from Monarch pass and were scrambling to find a place to spend memorial Day weekend to get our RV looked at by a mechanic. Brad, the campground host was a lifesaver and offered us the old campground host spot for the weekend since they were fully booked. We cannot speak enough of the kindness we were shown by Brad, Wes, and Michelle who work at Riverside RV Park. We enjoyed the serenity of walking along the river and the grounds of the park, while also being so close to all Salida has to offer. We would definitely recommend Riverside RV park to anyone passing through Salida.

We have been camping at this RV park for years. Unfortunately, on our last visit October 1, 2021, when we arrived our reservation site had been changed without our knowledge. Our reservation had been made back in June and I showed the host lady our confirmation. She said she hadn’t made that reservation and it was only her 3rd day. When I said that we were suppose to have 2 sites together because we had friends meeting us, she said lots of people want to be together and she didn’t care. I asked the very nice people that were in our spot when they made the reservation and they said 3 weeks before. They also did not get the spot they requested. As it turned out the spot we ended up with barely fit our RV and car. Again, the host lady said she didn’t care and if we didn’t like it we could leave and find something down the road. We have never had trouble with the camp hosts there and have found them not only knowledgeable about the area but pleasant to talk to. This trip we did not feel welcome. The host lady that was there the first weekend in October should not be working with the public.

Had a wonderful time at this campground! River sites are so well spaced, their campground bathroom is so so cute and clean and safe, and the hosts were kind. Love this place and will be back! One of the top places I have stayed for sure!

Nice little park. We had a level site #19 with electric and water. It was clean and quiet even though Walmart and the hwy are right there. My biggest complaint would be zero water pressure. Taking a shower was pathetic. I would not like the park so much if it was full as it could be tight through the roads. We got full Verizon and dish satellite.

Stayed here on Sunday over Labor Day weekend. Happy that they had a spot available, last minute..and the camp host seemed nice. There is a walmart literally right across the street, and a sonic drive in on the other side. These are positives! The only negative in my opinion was the price of the site considering there is no dump station. Not even one on site. So no full hookup..but in a pinch, obviously water and electric are key! Would have been nice to not have to make another stop to empty tanks though.

We are repeat campers here. I honestly cannot say enough about the wonderful camp hosts. They make sure that the campsites are clean, there is always fresh firewood, they keep other campers in line, and always take such good care of us guests, and the campground. The campground itself is a great spot to home base, while exploring Salida. The kids love the creek. It is very close to the highway, so it’s not necessarily serene, but we really love coming here.
