Riverwalk RV Park & Campground | Fortuna, CA

For the last two years, our motorcycle club has held their Spring Fling here at the River Walk RV park. It is such a great place to have as a base camp. With the number of members attending (60), we could all plan a ride to what we desired to see. It has easy access to the freeway, restaurants, and for those that did not stay at the park, motels are within walking distance. We voted unanimously to hold our event here again next year.

There is a rec room available for rent. It includes a very nice patio with picnic tables, bbq, and a covered pergola. Our group held a few dinners here, it was perfect.

The staff is incredible. They are always there if we had a problem, always fixed immediately. The cabins are a great alternative to a tent or RV. Clean, and very comfortable. The park is very clean, and well kept. You will not find any RV park any cleaner.

I cannot say enough about this RV park. I believe you will not be disappointed should you chose to stay here.

Lovely and clean facility. Hosts were communicative and friendly. Came to introduce themselves when we checked-in late. Jacuzzi was a huge bonus after the day we had. Showers and laundry in top condition. The only negative was the proximity to the highway and the noise from trucks. But, it was easily accessible and we picked it for its proximity to the highway. Prices are VERY reasonable.

We stayed here during our trip down the coast. When we arrived at 3:00 the office was closed but we had gotten a text with the bathroom codes and were left a sheet with our site number. I think we were the only non-full timers staying here and overall the park feels a little run down. To be fair, we are here during the off season so they probably have some sprucing up to do for the summer. It’s right near the highway so it’s a bit noisy. It’s also a little pricey for what you get (e.g. 30 amps). Not bad for a stopover but I wouldn’t recommend it for much more than that.

This place was great saved us on a rainy night. New Manager was great. Very nice on the phone and in person. He was responsive to my text and calls.
They have Nice hot tub open in the winter.

I requested a reservation for November 17th, 2024, and they finally approved it over a year later. Yes — more than 12 months after the actual date. Incredible.

Most places use calendars and respond within a normal timeframe, but this RV park seems to run on its own geological timescale. If you enjoy waiting a full year for a simple response, you’ll love it here.

If not, I’d recommend finding a place that lives in the same decade as its customers.

This is a really good RV park situated close to 101 Coast highway. Sites are very spacious have grass in between them. The park is pretty quiet people keep to themselves don't bug you. They have full-timers that live in the back of the park but they're in good condition not a junkyard. If I needed to have an RV park in this area it would be this one I would come to again.

This is a good RV park with nice people and extra curricular activities like a DJ on Saturday night and karaoke. Spots were tight but well kept and full hookups. Walking distance to trails filling the Eel River and close to many other attractions. Definitely coming back.

Service was very good. Location was very close to Historic Redwood Forest, quaint towns, and easy drive to the beach. We stayed In our RV in a nice partly shaded site. They have full hookups and free WiFi. Pets are allowed.

This is a beautiful spot with lots of trees and bushes. It was clean and quiet. You can hear the freeway, but it didn’t bother us. We only stayed one night, but I would have liked to have stayed longer.

Nice place to stop overnight or a day or two.  Not a destination park.  We spent 3 weeks there and could not wait to leave.  The park and infrastructure are old and it has a more trailer park feel than from our first visit 11 years ago.  I had a blown electrical plug while there, I think done in by their sprinkling system.  The site we had was very narrow and this was the first time in our 3 1/2 years of full timing that we did not set up anything out doors than a mat and a chair.

Riverwalk was exceptionally clean and the people were very friendly.  Check in was easy.  Bathrooms and showers were spotless and looked newly renovated.  Proximity to the river was nice but town is a good hike away.  Not much to do in Fortuna but the Eel River Brewing Company (a 2 minute walk!)  has great food, exceptional beer and delicious cocktails.  Not really a vacation destination but a good, clean, and safe place to stop on 101.  Freeway noise really quiets down at night and most of the spots along the freeway look like they are for the park's permanent residents.

Clean place with full hookups.   Nice to be able to walk to a brewpub and convenience store.    Close to the road and highway which is pretty typical of rv parks.  Also many long term residents which is common.  I came here for the wifi so I could work and was not able to carry on non video zoom calls during the day.   The cell service for Verizon also was poor.   Overall it didn’t meet my needs because of this.  I traveled to my next spot to finish my work day.

Not a bad place to stop in fortuna but it was hard to get into the site.

Nice trail to walk on. Very flat and seems like everyone can enjoy a short or longer walk

Excellent. Clean, quiet, well-maintained, it has free wi-fi. Strong AT&T phone signal in this area as well.

4 days of torrential rain caused us to seek other shelter than originally planned. We pulled in after 5 pm as the manager (Monica?) was closing the office. Without hesitation, she unlocked the door and provided us with a spot for the night. The site itself is conveniently located to both roads and stores/restaurants, well-maintained, and, again, run by someone who knows all about customer service.

This is a really beautiful park to relax at. The staff was super friendly, always helpful and accommodating. The sites were nice and large with full hookups. Everything was nicely designed that it was peaceful to meander around the park.
There were tons of amenities and activities that would make sure everybody has a great time. They had an awesome mini mart that had all kinds of goodies, antiques and collectibles. The location was really nice as they had so many great places you can visit so close by you can walk. Overall we had a very serene time we can’t wait to go back.

The grounds are open year round which is great and every site is full hookup which is rarely ever the case. The sites are all clean and well sectioned off with handicap facilities and even an RV mobile repair service. There was pretty much everything we needed, and I was glad we didn't have to pay for wifi because with my cell provider, I kept losing service and had to switch to wifi a lot. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about activities and food choices in the area, and were super helpful in getting us settled into our cabin for the weekend.
