🏕 Camped here via tent in early September. Not crowded at all. The bathrooms 🚻 at the tent campsites were closed, yet Porto potties 🧻 were located in the parking lot . 🚮 Garbage and recycling bins were located in the parking lot as well. Potable water 🚰 was available close by. Showers 🚿 were accessible by the beach. Each site has a fire pit🔥. Nicely maintained campground. Quiet. 🤫. I would recommend bringing a cart 🛞 bc parking was a slight distance from the tent sites. No outlets, 🪫🔌so here's your chance to immerse yourself in the present and put down your phone. 🌌 The beach 🏖 is a slight trek from the campsite. It's a pleasant walk though. You'll witness egrets, cormorants, ducks, guys and guls, Osprey and grebes. Bring binoculars 🐦‍⬛🪿🦆🦅. Also stay on the trail 👣, if not, I hope you aren't allergic to poison ivy☘️. The marsh is entertaining. Its full of life. The beach is gorgeous 🌅 The waves are subtle, making it perfect for families 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒. There wasn't a lifeguard on duty🛟. The water was pretty shallow for a long distance. There were some black flies on the beach 🪰 I didn't have an issue with them, but my buddy did. There is a amtrak train 🚅 that runs behind the beach. There were lots of small fish🐟, a variety of crabs 🦀🐚🦐 and snails 🐌. All n all, I'd come back here again.

A nice "short" beach, (from entrance to water) there's a boardwalk that's parallel to the shore that makes it easier to walk further down the beach. During peak season, they have a concession stand for convenience. There's also a large beautiful pavilion for gatherings on the west side of the property, here - theres an observation deck with a coin operated binocular viewer. FYI - for an easier walk back, (but a little further) behind the pavilion via a walk bridge over the railroad tracks, there's an access road that'll bring you back to the parking lot.

We enjoyed our camping experience, as well as our time on the beach in this popular Connecticut Shoreline destination. The campsites are plentiful somewhat spacious though it can be noisy due to the road and proximity of other campsites it’s also not the most private of camping experiences however, with that being said a short walk or drive to the beach is a plus. The beach is compact. The sand is soft a bit rocky when you get in the water but all in all and enjoyable experience.

We rented a spot to spend some quiet and quality time with the family. We had access to the beach as well and it was an amazing time. Being able to park the van next to the camp site was a plus so I didn't have to carry all the stuff over a long distance. My attitude was adjusted and made great memories with the family.

I have been going here for almost two years now to photograph the Osprey, and on my last trip it was amazing. They were fishing from the time I got there, and still going at it hours later when I left. There were also eagles there getting involved. It would be nice to get here more often than a few times a year, but it's worth it when I go. I'll post photos later.

Seasonal. Simple and beautiful. White sand beaches. Private outcroppings of rocks. A great place to unwind and have any recreational activities.

Best public beach in CT to just walk in the water. It's extremely calm with no real waves and very shallow. There's the usual beach food for sale and a few extra beach accessories for sale as well in case you forgot something. Parking is free for CT residents. It's a good sized beach, not huge and not tiny. The sand is also nice and fine in most areas.

The beach is absolutely stunning. The water is tranquil and perfect for swimming, as it remains shallow for quite a distance. Families often visit because it's very safe due to the shallow water extending over a large area. The sand is soft and the water is pristine, and there are lifeguards on duty for added safety.

Love the beach. It was Saturday, so there was too much crowd, but I still found some spot to have alone time. Enjoy my time. There is a nice trail, too. Lots of parking space. Good maintenance. Love the way they separate beach area n picnic area. Definitely visit next time.

Great place for picnic, enjoying the beautiful white beach and the gorgeous pavilion. We were there after labor day and it was bit chilly, so couldn't go into the ocean.but the views are terrific and you can walk around the pavilion.really good sweeping views of the Atlantic. If you are visiting during the winter and it has snowed, be mindful while you stroll around. Surfaces are very slippery

Very cozy small beach in a quite large state park with many tables. The sandy beach stretches out in a wave. Not much wind due to the train rail.right behind it blocking the air flow. it was warm enough under the sun in a 16 degree weather. Worth to see. Summer would be nice here.

Beautiful spot with an old huge hall(closed) near the water, large bald rock faces line one side of a grove of trees where you can look out at a huge variety of ocean rock features and there's also lots marshland walking area to observe birds and whatnot. Great spot, very busy in the summer, like so busy, off-season is pretty quiet

Rocky Neck never disappoints. Beautiful beach no matter what time of year you visit. Probably the cleanest shore park in CT. Take some time to walk the trails as well, the wetlands are spectacular too.

beach is great for little kids as the water tends to not be very deep and the waves are not bad. The whole park is kept pretty clean. Overall very nice.
