CONS: Showers were not so great. I had some unreasonably loud neighbors. Unattended kids and families were continuously walking through my site. PROS: Plenty of spots to hang my hammock Great cell service to get work done Close to town and easy bikeway access

I had the BEST time at Serrano Campground. The site is located on the north shore (10 min drive from Big Bear). Cougar Crest Trail is in walking distance from the campgrounds (highly recommend if you are looking for a nice hike), and there is a walking/biking path that takes you all the way to the lake. The campgrounds were clean and in great shape. I was shocked with with how clean the restrooms and showers were. A small win is that the showers are free to use so you don't need to lug around a heavy coin purse. Fire wood is available for sale on the grounds if needed and there are park rangers that monitor the entrances which made me feel safe. There are pumps around the sites with water that can be used for drinking or to wash your dishes. The campground is at a distance where it feels like you are out of the city, but there is still cell reception. I will definitely be coming back.

This is a really nice campground. The people are friendly and the place is clean and well maintained. They have free hot showers and they even sell wood at the camp entrance which is really convenient. The campground is very peaceful. Some large groups were a little loud and allowed to have fun without being bothered. It was a very chill atmosphere which is what you want when camping.

Beautiful campground. Spacious and very clean, great toilets and hot showers. There is a gorgeous bike path that leads to the lake, campground was very busy but everyone was quiet and respectful. I gave it 4 stars because we saw mice running around our tent few times and it’s the only thing that might stop me from returning unfortunately:(

Beautiful, clean and secure campground. Plenty of space in each campsite. Also lots of things to do nearby at the lake which you are literally steps from. And the best thing of all 20 degrees cooler than down here. You feel safe there. Love this place. I come every year.

Excellent campground! Most of the campsites have nice shade from trees, the Apline Pedal Path goes right through the entrance, and the lake is about a 5-10 minute walk across the street. Booked our next trip here before we even checked out!

Very nice campground for RVs with hookups and also for regular tent sites. We stayed at site 43 and it is super spacious and not too close from the other sites.

Really well kept, clean, flat campsites. Excellent large table, fire pit, and bear box. The location is also top notch right across from the lake with a pretty direct path to a little beach by the observatory. Restrooms are large and clean with real toilets and full showers.

This campground has been one of the best for us so far. This has been our 3rd campground and lake arrowhead would be our 2nd best. This campground had private showers. We actually camped out for 2 nights and stayed on #5 which had plenty of room for 6 of us. It seemed to have more space than others and the restrooms/showers were pretty closed which we enjoyed. We came here after Easter and it was pretty quiet and cold at night lol. Recommend this campground if you love big bear you’ll have a great time.

What a great campground! Not far from the lake nor the city. We stayed in spot 67 and it was great! Lots of shade around 2:00 pm

This is a very clean campground. The staff are always pleasant. The restrooms are usually clean. The paved Alpine Pedal path goes through this campground and is a nice path to walk. You are also walking distance from the Lake. This is campground has a very nice atmosphere. The Cougar Crest Trail is also walking distance from the campground. You do get a little noise from the highway, but it isn't bad at all.

The only option for tent camping this late in the season up here in the mountains. Really friendly staff and folks were generally super respectful of fellow campers. The fact that there are showers and flush toilets really makes the experience a much nicer one. Just wish there were dedicated areas for tents away from the RVs this time of year since the RVers are often running their generators and the fumes and noise can be a bit much at night. Otherwise, we had a great time despite the cold weather and ban on fires. Would definitely come back in the future.

Emily at the front gate was very kind, patient and understanding. We had a Boy Scout group of over twenty people and she helped us work through our site information with great ease. The campsites were mostly clean as well as the facilities. There were mostly families with kids in attendance.

My Family and I loved it! We camped out there in our tents for 4 day's and had so much fun! The restrooms were always so clean and fully stocked. The shower's were clean and smelling great too! We went camping there 5 yrs ago when my daughter was just barely pregnant with my grandson and now he went to and he's 4 1/2! We love making memories and taking pictures. Will definitely be here next year!!
