We really enjoyed our stay here and felt the pricing was very reasonable, especially for the area. I noticed some reviews mentioning traffic noise, but the resort is right next to the highway, so that’s pretty expected. We did hear some traffic at night, but it wasn’t enough to bother us. I had requested a site farther from the freeway, but we ended up right by it. That said, we booked using a Black Friday deal with a solid discount, so I’m assuming that’s why and I don’t have any real complaints about it. The property itself was great — clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Our neighbors were quiet and respectful, and having direct access to the trolley was a huge bonus and made getting around very easy. The only downside was one time when I needed assistance. I couldn’t find the gate code, tried calling customer service multiple times during normal business hours, left a voicemail, and never heard back. Because of that, I’m giving it 4 stars. Aside from that, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Spent the month of December 2025 there, everything was great, great staff, lots to do in the area, pool/hot tub, game room for kids and us adults and yes a fitness center as well.

We spent the last 6 months here. The facilities are awesome and everything is always taken care of. This is due to the staff. From the lady who cleans to the gentleman who take care of the grounds to the management. Top quality at all levels. Location is incredible. You are central to every aspect of San Diego. The trolly being right there is a game changer. Communication from the staff was always useful. The functions that the staff would have from waffles and mimosas to the holiday events is so much fun. Basically if RVing into SD. This is you place. Cannot be beat.

Just had our third stay this year at the RV park. We love it!! Location is perfect especially for visiting family friends, easy freeway access and the park is maintained well. Love the palm trees on site and the landscaping is beautiful and cared for constantly. Staff is always working and they’re so nice. the Christmas light addition last week was a nice surprise. Looking forward to returning at the end of the month!

This is our first stay at the resort. We were greeted by very friendly staff, check in was a snap. The spaces are arranged nicely and you have a decent size patio and spot for the tow veh at most sites. The location is roughly 15 minute drive to downtown San Diego, Balboa Park and the waterfront. There are quite a few long stay RVers so the resort has a lot of people keeping an eye on things. The pool and main office facility has that retro look and although older, is very well kept. Bathrooms and showers look to be recently remodeled and are kept immaculate. The only reason for 4 stars is the noise. The freeway boarders the resort and it's rather loud. It's not too bad inside the RV, but too loud to sit outside for any length of time.

The resort was very nice and clean and the check-in experience was very pleasant. We and our pup enjoyed our strolls around the park. Our only issues were with the noise from the highway, which we are not used to, and the closeness of the sites. If these things don’t concern you, it would certainly be a nice place to stay while visiting the San Diego area.

Hello, this is the second time we have stayed at Sunland RV Resort, San Diego. 5 Star all the way. Great location, walking distance to the metro which will take you anywhere you want to go. The resort has a nice pool & large clean shower’s and restrooms, laundry facilities as well. Note we will be back again next year. Thank you Sunland, San Diego Warm Regards Doug & Kelli D

San Diego RV Resort, AKA Sunland RV Resort is a nice enough place, with quality amenities and a clean facility. It's a little cramped, the pool was freezing, and the freeway noise is constant. But the location is convenient, the restrooms and showers are clean and nicely appointed, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Watch for occupational discounts and deal bundles to save a little money, because it's not cheap. But it's quite convenient being so close to a trolley stop.

We are very blessed to call San Diego RV Resort our home 🏡 ❤️. We have been on the road for three years now and have stayed at many RV Parks around the Western States, and this is by far the cleanest, safest, and most friendly staff we have encountered. Bathrooms are new and big and clean. Have a great workout room. Heater huge pool and HOT hottub. They treat us like family and have many fun activities. We love it here! Thank you, Jennifer and Natalie!

This was a last minute reservation over Thanksgiving weekend. Thank you for your hospitality. Beautiful grounds close to San Diego attractions. Clean, beautiful landscaping, well maintained. Next door to Red Trolley depot. I made the mistake of booking 4 nights when we actually needed only 3 nights. After some discussion, Management was willing to provide a credit. Thank you. We had a maintenance issue on our site. Maintenance was very responsive and fixed the problem immediately. We would recommend this resort.

The staff here is wonderful, warm and really care about providing a high quality facility and experience with a personal touch. The sites are very nice – each has a grass and concrete area, which I really appreciate and most sites are separated by some sort of natural element(s) like trees or bushes. The trees, bushes and flowers throughout the resort make for a wonderful environment. The pool area is great and though I wasn't able to make it to the game/billiards room I would have if I had more time. We were there the day before Easter and the staff put on a wonderful Easter event with a really great Easter Egg Hunt for each family and had 'make your own snowcones' at the pool. Honestly, amazing! Can't think of another RV resort that would do something so wonderful like that.

Very Nice Stay, for 3 days - This place seems more like a long term type place with what seemed to be older RV (but this being a Questionable Statement being our RV is Brand New). I did not take many photos as I never knew that I would be doing reviews of these places. This park is an older park yet it was clean and well maintained and the Service was great, the staff was completely workable and nice. The park has a SMALL Dog Park, there was a pool but can not tell you if it was nice or not as we have our puppy and we never leave him alone so we assumed it was nice as it seemed like it would be the Highlight of the park. The park itself seemed to be older and the park seems not be super active in landscaping as it had an older but kept look to it ... Overall it was a great stay for the 3 days.

We chose to stay here. No contact with staff other than check in. We didn’t use their facilities but everything seemed to be well maintained from a visual standpoint. The freeway noise was the worst we’ve ever experienced. The rules seem to cover most conduct but don’t seem to be in forced. If you have more than the 2 dog limit, only declare 2 dogs. No one will ever say anything. Go ahead and use your charcoal grill if you don’t have a propane grill. No one will say anything. Have your hateful political opinions to display-no problem. But we we’re happy to have a place in town for 8 nights. The noise is the killer. You can’t ignore the noise but you can ignore everything else. Good luck!
