If you camp this place has the room for you and a large contingent of friends. Not sure if Boy Scouts camp anymore but you could host a Jamboree here for a few Troops. Our area had plenty of space for tents, popups, and a nice fire pit for gathering everyone at the pit. Start wining down at around 9:30 and make sure you keep it down by 10. If you can't cook or burn dinner you are 5-10 minutes to the downtown area, but you would never know it. The sky has minimal light pollution so enjoy a big sky. The property had a volleyball court and horseshoes. A covered area towards the front can easily accommodate 40+ people in the event of rain. There is a water supply and latrines. Bring minimal water just in case, but you don't have to go crazy. Explore and have fun!

Had a wonderful time at this campground. We were tent campers and had a great setup. I did not realize each site was equipped with a water pump and electrical outlet! The bathrooms/showers were so clean, I was most impressed by that. Got the tent camping experience with great amenities. Hope to visit again.

Amazing host and community here! During our cross-country trip, our rental car got stuck in the sand early in the morning. We were in a panic due to our tight schedule, but the host and a fellow camper in site C11 came to our rescue immediately. We were barely awake and feel terrible that we didn't get their names to send a proper thank-you gift! Highly recommend this spot, but be aware: no phone service and they only accept cash or check, so come prepared.

What a lovely place to spend a few days. The camp is amazing with many trails leading to the animas trails and the Colorado trail. Even better is the drive or bike ride up the road. It’s 20 miles out and 20 miles back so none locals like me 👋🏽be weary of the length and altitude so hydrate or I’m coming after you!! # go anyway The bathrooms here were the cleanest I’ve ever seen and we have been in the road for months. Great thanks to the host Bob what a gem. P

Stayed in a camper there for a week. The bathrooms were cleaner and smelled better than most modern campsite bathrooms. Park was beautiful and well kept.

This was a nice little campground. It is a bit of a drive outside of Durango, but that wasn't a problem for us. There's plenty of space between campsites. Cleanest vault toilets I have ever used!

This is my kind of campground. Full shade, peaceful with large sites. If they had showers I would stay longer. The Colorado trail access is here which is a plus. Great place if you want to hike, bike or just sit and relax.

Beautiful campground. We stayed on the group site G02 and there was plenty of space for gathering, tents, and parking. The vault toilets were always kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. If you followed a short path it would lead you to a walking trail. We did not have any cell service there, but you could find service just a short drive down the mountain. The water pressure from the spicket was low and it took a while to fill buckets for washing dishes or hands and I would recommend bringing your own drinking water. I would stay here again! It was beautiful and close to town for any other activities or needs.

The road to get to this PAID campground is uphill and the road is RUFF. Very washboard and needs to be grated. Our site D1 was next to the restrooms and was a bit of a challenge to level rig. Lots of trees so Starlink wouldn’t work and barely one bar Verizon. Camp host was very friendly and nice. The views going UP and DOWN were beautiful.

Excellent campground 15 minutes from Durango, but in the pines and foothills at the very end of the Colorado Trail. Excellent mountain biking options (CT-Hoffheins-Dry Creek-CT; or Log Chutes, right from loop E and C) abound, as well as hiking along Junction Creek. Hosts are fantastic--very warm and friendly and thorough with the little details.

This multi loop campground has brand new and super clean pit toilets. Each site is tucked away off of the loop and ours was perfectly level. D4 has a fire ring a picnic table, level tent area and a hook. Great location to town and the campsite host was such a nice guy that even allowed us to fill our water tank in our van. The site was even raked! Love this place and location to town. The upper E loop even has electricity to those sites.

This is a great campground! The spaces are nicely spaced and out of view from your neighbor, close to town and the Colorado trail. But mostly, the staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and take extreme pride in the cleanliness of the park. The toilets are seriously cleaner than any restaurants bathrooms. We'll be back!

This was a great forested campground with spacious sites. They even have a few double sites. The electrical hookups were a treasure! The bathrooms were clean and freshly painted. The camp hosts were wonderful. We had Verizon cell phone coverage. The only negatives were a washboard road coming into the campground, (It really was horrible for a while.) and a bit of ATV noise. We were there during the week. It may be worse on the weekends.

This place is great. Sites well spaced, 50 amp electric. No water/sewer but that's okay. They have spigots through the park to get fresh water. If you stay on the eastern end of the park, Verizon service is decent. Be mindful of the critters. I caught more than a few mice while staying there, and the chipmunks might try to make a home out of your RV or car. The way in is a dirt road for a few miles, but I made it just fine with a 42 foot motor-home towing a car.

Quiet!! Beautiful campground. The pit toilets are super clean and not stinky. The hosts take great care of the whole place. You can get firewood for $7 a bundle at the check in point. Road up to the campground needs to be navigated with care. No guardrails. Don't speed. Lots of bikes in the road up from Durango. Be careful with your food and garbage as it is bear country.
