We stayed at sandy pines for one week in our RV. The price is reasonable for very nice, fairly level camp spots. Quiet at nights. Country setting. Minutes to kennebunkport. Safe atmosphere. Kind staff. Full hookups with good water pressure. We could not connect to wifi it was too weak. They say there's a strict policy on the speed limit but not true. Cars driving too fast through there. Mini bikes are supposedly not allowed but some kid was riding an electric one all around at night and almost hit us and our dog while zooming around a corner. Strict no noise until 8am is not true more like 6am.

This was our first time at Sandy Pines and we will definitely be back! Me and my husband stayed in one of the couples cottages in Birch Grove. It was very clean up on arrival and was stocked with towels and small personal amenities. Close to the clean bathhouse, keep in mind it is communal and you can tell they check on/clean them multiple times a day but it's still woodsy and camping. The general store exceeded expectations with the selection available. Everyone was so nice and ready to offer help. The manager even drove by and gave a check in. There are laundry machines on site, the only negative is that it's not obvious online or on the map. The proximity to beaches and Kennebunkport is definitely a plus. We came the week before Labor Day so it seemed relatively quiet. Again, we loved our time here and will be returning customers.

Super expérience! What a nice surprise. I was in the hideaway hut, a little place but enough to keep you comfortable. Everything was there: nice queen-size bed with quality bed linen, you can open the door to feel like outside, full service if you need to change your towels...plenty of clean bathrooms available. If you want quiet time, prefer farther from the playground. Well done and good taste. Surrounded by nature. We will be back!

My husband and I spent two nights here in the couple’s safari tents. The tents are very nicely done and very clean. The bath houses were very clean but a little small. The whole campground is absolutely huge. We already plan on going back at some point with the kids. We didn’t mind the walk to the beach that was a little over a mile, it’s a safe walk with shoulders for walking. Would definitely recommend.

We did some tent camping at Sandy Pines Campground and had a great experience. The tent sites were clean, level, and well-graded, making setup easy. The ground was flat and comfortable for sleeping. The kids loved the heated pool and even swam in the rain. The staff were friendly and took the time to engage with my kids’ talkative nature, even while they were busy working. The campground was quiet at night, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family trip. It’s a great spot for enjoying the outdoors with comfort and kindness.

Huge campground with a lot of different overnight stay options! We stayed in the newly renovated "Rosemary" and it was very comfortable. We had a small kitchen to cook, an outdoor patio space, and plenty of space inside. The beds were very comfortable. The General Store had a lot of nice goodies to choose from.

My family and I stayed here on Columbus date weekend and had a great time. We stayed in one of the cabins. I have seen some mixed reviews but wanted to counter that with a positive review. From the moment we checked in staff was extremely hospitable and professional. We checked in around 9:30 and the gentleman was extremely helpful in showing us how to get to the spot. The cabin was very clean upon check in and everything worked as intended and was in good shape. There were a bunch of planned Halloween themed events for the kids and we were right near the playground which was awesome. Additionally they had what I felt was a well stocked “general store” with items you may need. We took advantage of that for breakfast sandwiches and coffee each morning as it was just too easy. They even had gluten free English muffins which was surprising! I imagine it all depends on who your neighbors are, but everyone around us was very respectful and quiet, the weekend was peaceful. The boathouses were conveniently located and cleaned regularly. It seemed that staff cleaned the showers and toilets several times a day. We had such a good time we booked for next year.

Look I'm sorry to have to do this but I've stayed here a few times over the years. The reviews (like this one), are growing negative for only one reason: greed from management/ownership. A basic tent site, no wifi, no hookup, is 90 U.S Dollars. For camping. For one night. On a weekday. In late September. That's completely insane and ownership should feel ashamed. Staff are amazing. I feel truly bad for them because they have to rip off families with their made up booking fees and whatnot. The campground is great as far as bathrooms and location and whatnot. But I'm not going to support a business that is just so flat out greedy. It's camping. You can't charge people nearly 100 bucks to for a plot of dirt and a fire ring. We should be encouraging people to get out and connect with nature but it's greed like this that gets in the way. So today, instead of camping at Sandy Pines for 90 bucks I went and got a hotel room and now I'm in a King sized bed watching The Office on a 50 inch flatscreen. And I saved 20 bucks. See what I mean? Lower your costs and you guys will be fine.

Have been staying here since they opened. I now have my own seasonal and get to bring my kids here and they love camp. Every year, the staff are friendly and willing to accommodate in anyway they can. The store has everything and then some. They maintain property very well. ALL amenities are great, especially the extras added on some weekends!

My husband and I had a great little get away at Sandy Pines. Everything was clean and charming. The grounds are well taken care of and everything is easily walkable. We did not realize that the bathrooms were communal which was our fault but just know that before booking. Overall excellent stay! We will be going back

It’s just OK. I don’t get the hype. The grounds are fine, the location is fine. We won’t return and probably wouldn’t recommend.

An nice place, but wifi is pretty much non-existent and even if you can get a signal it's barely dial up modem speeds - even in the main lodge. The other thing to note is that is absolutely not walking distance to the beach, especially with children or dogs. Plan to drive there ($25 parking) or ride a bike. Otherwise it's cute and fairly quite, which is nice.

Excellent campground. Great staff who are efficient and kind. Pool was super clean. Bathhouses were private and very clean. Better than most campgrounds for sure! Level sites that were big and offered privacy. Love the layout of the campground. It’s big but you don’t feel that way because the sites are in “enclaves” of sorts. Highly recommend.
