I’ve been going there for many years and I’m pretty disappointed on how things are run now, and I know other campers feel the same way. The managers spend more time partying with the campers than they are taking care of the place the way they should. They are strict on campers when they aren’t abiding to the rules themselves. They allow dogs to stay after attacking other dogs at the campground. They ran out of toilet paper in the bathrooms numerous times, and they failed to refill them and couldn’t be found to fix the situation. The gate was broken all summer, and security was very limited. There were also many times people were walking around smoking marijuana during their functions throughout the summer. Unfortunately after many years spent here, I’ve finally decided I won’t be returning. What started off as my favorite place to spend my summers has sadly turned into a nightmare after they changed management.

Really sad to see this place go downhill. I’ve been staying here every year since I was a child- I’m in my 30s now- and until the last couple of years it has been amazing. The new owners have completely let it go. The employees don’t seem happy, the grounds are not clean, there are now signs everywhere about cameras in use and private property and the pond water has a smell and there are drunks everywhere. It’s as if they don’t enforce any rules or care. I don’t enjoy swimming with trash or sitting on a beach with bottles and cans and inhaling cigarette smoke. My family won’t be going back.

This was our first year with a seasonal site after coming here for the last few years. We always loved this campground but the new management has been amazing! They’re making so many improvements and they have awesome activities and food trucks every weekend for the kids and adults. And everyone is so helpful and super nice! We absolutely love it here!!!

We are Seasonal Campers at Sandy Pond. This has been a fantastic season! Sean and Randi (new management) have done an excellent job in providing fun activities for both adults and children. The campground is well maintained and the bathrooms and showers have been renovated and look brand new. Some of the seasonal highlights are the themed potlucks, water wars, adult only scavenger hunt, weekly LRC games. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend you give this campground a try as it is a hidden gem that is minutes from the Cape Cod canal and easily accessible to downtown Plymouth.

We had a great stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The sites are nice. The adjoining pond is very nice also, but seemingly devoid of fish, or maybe i'm just not a good fisherman. it's a great pond for swimming, nice sandy, bottom clear water and the beach is well maintained. They also have one paddle board and a bunch of kayaks and canoes. I feel they should probably invest in a few more paddle boards because they're very popular now, maybe they had some issues with theft. there's also a swamp behind one camping area where I got some great pictures of damsel flies and dragonflies little kids would love to go down there to catch frogs. the only small inconvenience I experienced was in the bathrooms, where there is no bench for you, to sit on to change. Put the free hot water and the very clean upkeep of the bathroom more than makes up for it. Although it would be hard for an elderly or someone with balance issues to change. overall, I would highly recommend this to friends and family. Great location sandwich between Plymouth and the cape.
