We have been going here for 12+ years and this was probably the last time. So much has changed and it’s not the same anymore. The only good thing is probably the pool but that’s about it. We usually got the deluxe cabin which has many things missing from the kitchen especially for grilling. Their banana bikes were the highlight of the stay but they are discontinued so they won’t have any. Their staff pressures you to leave immediately or pay extra even though kids had bike rentals paid. They always have you get checked for some kind of bracelet which is so strange. We never had such experience in the past 12 years. We won’t be back unfortunately and won’t recommend it anymore. It’s probably ok if you have your own trailer

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn’t wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn’t take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it’s the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I’d come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊

This is a clean quiet campground just minutes away from the beach. We had the pull through site with a paw pen for our three doggies. This site had everything we could ask for including outdoor lighting, a gas barbeque, fire pit and swinging bench. The area for the dogs had soft green grass with a cleanup station provided at the entrance of the gate. All the employees were super friendly and accommodating. They have a well stocked store with everything we need, a laundromat, clean restrooms and lots of fun stuff to do around the campground. This is such a great place to stay and we can't wait to come back.

My family and I have visited 30 KOA locations and this is BY FAR, the best experience yet! The campground was incredibly clean and gorgeous! Every area was landscaped beautifully. Bathrooms were immaculate and even smelled fresh. Thoroughly impressed by the aesthetics and cleanliness but was even more impressed by the staff. From check-in, to staff making their rounds, to the owner Andy who was incredibly gracious and took the time to meet us. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We normally bring our RV but decided on renting a cabin and so pleased we did! They are so cute! We felt like we were in a cabin in the woods. The staff came and checked our gas grill to ensure we were all set. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely be back! Mahalo to Andy and his crew for providing such a beautiful experience!

Great glamping spot. We stayed in the cabins for a December weekend, and I came away generally impressed. On the positive side - the cabins were roomy, clean, and set up well for small families, with a bedroom area, living area and kitchenette and a loft that my 9 year old daughter loved. There's a firepit and grills outside as well. The community store was well stocked, not cheap (of course), but not crazy expensive. There was a heated pool, a nice playground, and huge inflatable bouncing pad that the kids loved. They also had some nice Christmas and holiday activities that the kids also enjoyed. The staff I interacted with were really friendly and helpful, and you're close to some nice beach areas and Santa Cruz/Capitola for shopping and eating. The only minor downsides - the shower was a little awkward (but it's a cabin, so just having a shower is a plus) and it's a little pricey, but we will definitely go there again.

If you like stupid rules, this is the place for you! Our family got there the day before us and we planned to get there early on the day of our check in to hang out at their sites. We booked a cabin and didn't expect it to be ready when we got there but the staff wouldn't let us on the property to hang out with our family. The kids couldn't play with their cousins and we missed hours of time together. The place was half empty so it wasn't a capacity issue. The gate lady was really rude and the experience with these people ruined a big part of our trip.

This is the nicest KOA we have ever been to! Staff was very friendly and helpful, the kids loved the playground and heated pool. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only minor complaint is the dog parks are pretty small.

Great location close to ocean (1 mile) that you can walk and go to beach. Full service available - this helped us a lot as first time RV experience. They have store so you can get anything that you may have missed. Lot of bikes to rent and fun activities for kids and family.

When we arrived, we were assigned a different site than originally booked — no problem in itself. Unfortunately, the new site number was entered incorrectly into their system. The next morning we went out to visit Monterey, and when we returned, our table and belongings had been removed. Apparently the staff thought the site was vacant because of the mix-up. Some of our items (those that were on the table) were later found, but the table itself was missing. We received only a brief apology and no compensation. The woman at the front desk also refused to find out who had cleared our site (suf on table), so we couldn’t even ask what happened to the table. Overall, a careless and unhelpful response to a mistake probably made by their own staff. A real shame, as the location itself is fine.

Very nice RV park it is well taken care of! Office staff super friendly and great customer service. Nice wide roads and the parking for the RV is super level. A lot for fun things for kids to do. Great location for surrounding areas to visit. The only thing is a bundle of wood is $20 super expensive. Emily was friendly and helpful! Overall great KOA!

We come here every three months for an amazing glamping experience! The cabins are spacious and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The fire ring and grill area were perfect for evening gatherings, and the entire site was clean and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond. Our kids loved the jumping area, and being within walking distance of the ocean was a huge bonus. The huge jacuzzi and big pool made it easy to unwind and have fun truly a perfect getaway for the whole family!

Was there July 10 -12. Staff were friendly. Definitely family with kids oriented. If you looking for wild animals and mid day tranquility this is not it. If you have kids with tons of energy you're in the right place. I also wanted to thank Natalie D. In the rental department for an outstanding and friendliness service. My kid was very happy. Happy kid happy dad. Also, for whatever reason no mosquitoes and that's a plus!!

This place is great. We really enjoyed our stay. We trailer camped here in site 72. I will say the nature spot doesn't really provide much privacy, especially in 72. However there are some spots that provide hedge coverage. We stayed mid June, it was high 60s, low 70s, slight breeze. It was so perfect. Even the morning had overcast but it was warm out where I could be in shorts and short sleeve. The activities for the kids is where this place shines the most. The jumpy pillow and pad are the hub for kids. It was always packed. The sand shack is right next to it. This is where you can tie dye shirts everyday, it's a really nice setup. There are snacks for the kids to buy, bikes and other mobile things to rent. They also host hourly activities for kids there as well. The place overall is very clean, the cleanest KOA I've been too. Their main shop has everything you could think of and more. Trash gets picked up daily at your site. Quiet time is at 10 which is nice and standard. Some sites are large and they offer dog areas in some as well which is cool! We really enjoyed our stay, after the second day we booked again for next year. This place will be yearly for us, no questions asked. Great place, super friendly staff, plenty to do. Boardwalk is 20min, Aquarium is 30 min, roaring thunder is 30 min away.

Staff really made this place a true 5 Star experience. Accomodations are great and better than most other KOA's we have been to. They take the security of our family very seriously with wristbands and constant patrol. Would 100% come back next time we are in the area.

Amazing campground for families! We stayed in RV spot 176 and it backed to the playground. It was a quick walk to the bathrooms and the jumping area. I loved that I could sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the kids play from our camp site. The kids made a few new friends and the amenities they offer are outstanding! Wish we stayed longer! The only negative was that there were puddles of water in the showers.
