Very skinny, dirt road that's not too friendly on oversized vehicles. We had a Dodge Ram woth a camper and a trailer in tow, and it was okay, but I believe the reason they call it "Holy Ghost" campground is because you are praying down that entire 3 mile road that there is no oncoming traffic. Then someone needs to back up. But, once you are there, I think it's one of the very best campgrounds in the state. We met a couple from Germany, and they were amazed by it's beauty and abundance of animal and plant life. There are lots of insects, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were no mosquitos, even though we were near water. The creek that runs along the side has little rainbow trout, and there are wild raspberries and gooseberries and wild roses galore. Lots of paths to explore though the woods. Good amount of space per campsite and all sites on the east side have access to the creek. I believe the only negativity in reviews could be from 1)the difficult road 2)it's not an overly developed campground, so the sites are pretty level, but it's not like you have a cement slab to park on.. If you love the outdoors, and quiet, beautiful trees and the sound of running water, it's worth the trek. My Dad and I visited in the last week of August, 2024. The weather and overall experience could not have been more perfect. And the dog loved it too! Picnic table and fire ring at every site.

Beautiful and quiet campground. The campground has a long winding road with tent and camper sites spread out on both sides. The river is right next to the sights so you can hear it running at all times. The bathrooms are big and there are alot of recycle/garbage bins around. Views are beautiful and the campground was peaceful.

Beautiful campground. The 3 mile road leading to it is unfortunately riddled with potholes, some worse than others, really needs some work. We stayed at campsite #2, there was a skunk that came out both nights we were there.

Awesome little campground. The only downside is how close most of the spots are to each other. But overall great spot to camp out at. All of the spots have benches, fire pits/grills, nice parking areas, and most of them are backed up to the Holy Ghost Creek. There's a couple of restrooms, trash cans, water spouts, trailheads, and a group camping area. Because of the area it is a heavy use area and will get full fast. First come first serve. Prices aren't too bad either, $8.00 a night and per vehicle.

This was my first time here, it was very beautiful, and peaceful, the camp site was nice and maintained very well! It is first come first serve. If you want to be there for a weekend get there early. You do pay a small fee to camp per Vehicle (cash, small bills only). Dogs are allowed,There is no cellphone service out there so you can enjoy nature the right way. Also the road in the mountains gets very small and its a one car road for (both ways) and a lot of pot holes just drive slow. For fire either bring your own wood, it can rain out there, just an FYI the camp site are a little close together. Be respectful and pick up your mess before leaving. Other then that I loved it and will be going back again.
