A lovely little park situated in a valley with a small lake. The hiking trail passes through the park and is well marked. Restroom facilities well clean, heated, and well maintained. The camping areas had a variety of shallow and deep sites, but the access roads are a little narrow for larger RV's and campers.

The park was amazing, everything was clean and the layout was nice. we stayed in the cabins which were comfy and had heat and ac. It was real easy tk get in and out of the park, the playground was big and had a few things for kids to play around on. The lake was beautiful and I even caught a bass.

Beautiful drives and hikes, loved our tent camping, even around the other RVs, electric hookup allowed us to plug in a few electric appliances foe ease amd comfort. Lots of great hiking we wish we had more time for. New bathrooms across from the old cabin and memorial were great. Make sure to climb the firetower all the way up and stop at the scenic overlook for a beautiful sunset! We heard a pair of owls hooting an evening chorus! Make some time to visit nearby Great Seal SP and don't miss historic and beautiful Chilicothe. I never knew it's historic buildings and parks were so well kept, full of food and fun shops!!

Neat state park that looks like it offers a lot especially in the summer. Would love to explore more when not close to sunset. Found 1 small playground and climbed part of the fire tower. Fire tower definitely shakes a little.

Primitive camping nice spaces available. Pit toilet were fine but lacked tp. The trails were a challenge but doable.

Very restful and relaxing. We watched the beavers play in the water in the evenings. Park was clean. We hiked 2 of the trails and they are not easy trails. Lots of up and down hills.

Went to ride mountain bike the trails and they were terrible. Only 5 miles and we gave up. Come to find out they are pretty much horse trails only I suppose. Although the Mountain bike project app, list as MB trails. Maybe they were at one time. Will not return to these trails.

I love camping here. Its quiet, its pretty, and its relaxing. The lake is enjoyable and the staff at the camp store is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there is no reception at lost spots. We had to walk up to the camp store to call home. Outside of that, its one of my favorite camp spots. Its so quiet and dark at night. At the time of writing this, there is no bath house or flushing toilets. They are in the process of building one but its not complete.

Brand new bathroom under construction April 2025. Most of the infrastructure is older. Most of the sites are fairly close together. Secluded and quiet. Seems like a nice place. Small lake with an island. Dump station is near the main entrance on a side road.

The trails here are great, and are not overly-crowded. You can get a lot of solitude time here. I particularly liked the red trail, which has some very nice overlooks. The orange trail was not marked very well and has lots of off-shoots, so that one can be a challenge to make sure you're still on the right path. Some of the trails do have some good inclines, so beware of that. The fire tower is also super cool, but they have the very top part closed off. You can still get an okay view from the highest section they let you get up to.
