Seligman / Route 66 KOA Journey

Warm, sunny days, cool nights and stunning starry skies in Northern Arizona!

Come relax with us in Northern Arizona! All of our sites at the Seligman/Route 66 KOA are pull through sites.  From teardrop campers to big diesel pushers, this KOA can easily accommodate your rig.  Or stay in one of our Kabins amidst the peace & quiet of Seligman.  We have tent sites too!  Take a short jaunt to town and enjoy the nostalgia of Seligman. The town straddles the longest remaining stretch of Historic Route 66. Stop at Delgadillo's Snow Cap for a malt, just as folks did in the 1950s or try the Road Kill Cafe.  In spring, cheer on hundreds of classic cars as they take off  on the popular Fun Run to Topock. Enjoy fun and easy day trips to Havasu Falls, Laughlin, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam.  Prescott, Flagstaff, Williams & Bearizona are easy day trips too.  Then come back to the campground's high desert setting to relax by the campfire and tell stories of the day's adventures. Warm, sunny days and cool starry nights are perfect for story-telling. There's no light pollution here!  Max pull thru: 73 feet.

Great place with nice store, great laundry and a really nice place to stay. The park has multiple dog parks and runs and there's a really neat nature trail to walk around with meat markers showing hilights of the area. The people are very friendly and helpful.

The owner who lives upstairs was intoxicated beyond measure outside. I was walking outside and I saw him talking to some guy. And a lady was walking her dog on her leash by the fence. The owners dog was not being held and was loose and started chasing her dog. Her dog was medium size and not showing signs of being vicious at all. Actually pretty docile. She pointed out his dog and he flipped her off. And then started following her as she walked away in her face. She looked upset and next thing I saw was her running away scared and he got into a car, and went after her. I hope she's ok. This guy who runs this place is a physco chasing women walking a dog. Not professional at all. Very dangerous. Even if it's "his property" he can't be chasing people drunk... Or have his dog off leash coming after people walking. It's supposed to be a "dog friendly" place, nor is there any signs saying no dogs allowed. Pretty small town. Won't be surprised if the owners reply is not nice or defending his actions. Wrong beyond measure.

We stopped here for an overnight on July 4th weekend. This seemed to be a nice KOA when we arrived, and we enjoyed walking around the town and having dinner. The staff were friendly, the grounds were maintained nicely, and the bathrooms were clean. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin when we arrived. At first we were pleasantly surprised that we had a cabin with mattresses that were like new and seemed really comfortable, but looking closer we realized they needed a good wipe down to remove the pet hair and paw prints. The fridge had something spilled all over the inside, and the floor was sticky in a place or two and could have used a mop. Since this is camping, we didn’t think it was a big deal so we wiped the fridge and the beds and left to enjoy the pool and the games. We didn’t realize until after dark that the cabin had a cockroach problem. We killed seven in about an hour as they were finding their way in through the floor boards. Some were attracted to whatever was on the floor. One crawled in my pant pocket overnight and jumped out the next morning when my wife was folding clothes. Not a good experience. I feel bad to leave a bad review. This is a nice campground and we would have enjoyed our stay if we had our RV or a cabin without the bugs. Hopefully this issue is addressed soon.

We stopped for an overnight stay off the I 40. Its a typical old KOA park, but if you want to explore the cute historic town it is extremely convienent. Otherwise, its a dusty Arizona campground very close to the freeway noise and especially the train noise. It did have a nice little trail thru the desert for my dog but can't say we will be back due to the noise.

Great place to stop for a quick overnight! Easy to get to from the freeway and the staff is very friendly. I don’t use the campground restrooms or showers, so I can’t comment on that. My biggest complaint is that they allow a dilapidated trailer to stay there full time and they’ve parked me next to them both times I’ve been there this year for reasons I don’t understand. There were plenty of other spots. Now, I have no problem with older RV’s, but this one was falling apart with electrical exposed on the side and extension cords running into the windows, bottom falling out underneath the belly…etc. It looked like a fire hazard in my opinion and it was too far gone to be in any RV park. I’ve added a picture, but the picture doesn’t do it justice.
