Close to the Giant Forest and Grant Grove. Nestled among large trees, the campsites are all pretty nice. We stayed in the first loop, but there are over 200 sites among other loops. Bathrooms were clean.

Campground is good, has different sites, one of the main feature that it connects with a park by shuttle system. But the problem is that shuttle system in Sequoia is not comfortable to use. So I prefer Stony Creek campground for it's spaciousness and quiet

The campground contains benchtables and fireplace. There is water, which is not drinkable. The toilets are a little nasty and there are no electricity, showers or mobile connection. There are plenty of wildlife, we saw plenty of chipmunks and squirrels and a deer that didn't care at all of presence. All in all a great campground.

I really like Dorst Creek Campground because the campsites weren't too close to each other. I've been to a lot of campsites here in the Sequoias and this campsite had the most deer roaming around in my opinion. The family and I would see deer within 15 to 20 feet from our campsite just about every 2 hours. We were on site 97 and the creek was only about 50 feet away and it was very relaxing sleeping to the sound of the water trickle down the site.

Don't stay in F145...the fire pit is so close to the adjacent campsite (3-4 feet) that we felt like we were encroaching on the other site including the ability to hear every word and sound (snoring, loudly over the crackling sound of the fire). Amenities include flushing toilets and not much else. There is no fire wood to buy, but plenty of firewood to collect. There was a large group next to us that was partying until midnight. Without a camp host or ranger stationed at the site, there was nobody there to enforce quiet hours.

Love coming here every summer with the family we stay five nights have an amazing time ..one thing I would change is the need for more rangers inforcing the rules to the people too many dirty ignorant people littering the Forrest it's just sad if people want to be filthy slobs they should just stay home ..

Great place to stay in Sequoia National Park. Flush toilets, running water, Bear lockers, shade, what more do you need for a few nights? Some spots are on top of each other and some are more isolated, whichever you prefer!

Loved it , lots of wildlife, waterfalls, long drive for us but oh so worth it.

Excellent for a national park campground. Beautiful atmosphere. Some camp sites are better than others. Conveniently located restrooms, cleaned once a day. Dump station for RVs was convenient, but water hoses are not threaded, making if difficult for some to fill fresh water tanks. The biggest problem was unsupervised children, and even some adults, who have no reservations about invading the area of your reserved camp site. Reservations six months in advance are strongly recommended. The Sequoia shuttle stops three places in Dorst, making it possible to visit most of the popular sites in Sequoia without driving. Unfortunately there are no shuttles to Kings Canyon, which would have been awesome.

Very quiet and beautiful. We were in a tent and a nearby RV left their porch light on all night the second night which was super lame - first night was so beautiful and dark with only stars to be seen!
