Great campground for a semi-rustic campground. The hosts Ed and Patty were outstandingly helpful. The facilities (pit toilet) might have been the cleanest pit system I have ever seen. Access to the marketplace store less than 1 mile up the road with WiFi and a good selection of camping essentials, and a self serve gas station. Ed went out of his way to be of help when needed. Highly recommended!

I won't go back until that old man leaves his post... he was rude.. he didn't like everything, where my dog was sitting, that the leash was tied incorrectly, the fire was too big (I couldn't make it lower, because there was an old burnt-out grate below - site 42) and that I was doing it too late, but I clearly came to rest, and not just sleep, every time he drove by, he came and expressed his dissatisfaction, in short, you sit and wait for him to arrive and start bothering you again, he specifically ruined my opinion of this campground , I've been vacationing in Sequoia for the 3rd year, but I've never encountered such disrespectful attitude, we were getting ready to leave at 11:50 because check out is at 12, he came very angry that we were still there and kicked us out, poured a bucket of water into the fire pit and I left covered in ashes …

Love these campgrounds! Stayed at site 3 in stony creek and omg never getting another site!. This site has a TONNN of room. Spicket is near road and bear box is right inside the driveway. 2 smaller suvs can fit in parking space.

Lots of deer passing by in the early evening and centrally located to visit all that Sequoia N.P. has to offer. We stayed at site 48 which had a lot of open space - enough to set up a small badminton net. We were not close to the creek, however a restroom, water faucet, and trash bin were close by. Kids enjoyed the creek. Camp host was very nice and they keep the pit toilets very clean.

$38 for an unlevel dirt parking site with no water or electric is overpriced. Only stand toilets with no running water or showers, but the stand toilets are clean. Nice fire pits with ample wood nearby to scavenge for fires. Lovely area. Just too much money for what you get. $20-$25/night would be a fair price for what was provided. The location is a good overnight stopping point when transitioning between Sequoia and Kings Canyon.

All these people complaining about little to no amenities clearly havent gone camping, camping. If you want full hookups, get a membership to an rv resorto or s place like that. It is a national park, they need a way to maintain this beautiful place, from all the trash people leave behind, and you money helps. Running water, sewage, and Electric hook ups would do more harm than good. Want to complain about the price for camping inside a national park? Go outside were they have full hookups and will charge you up to 90 a night. Trust me i know.

We’ve been going to the same campsite for the past 11 years and we still fall in love with it every time.

Had a wonderful time at Stony Creek! Right in the middle of both parks and right on a nice creek! Clean and well kept! We will be back!

Pit toilets without sinks or hand sanitizers. But otherwise, the campground is great! Lots of shade. Great fire pits. Amazing camp host!!!

Excellent campground in a centrally located location within the park. Not far from many landmarks and the visitors center. There are no swimming holes in lower Stoney. We were told by the campground hostess that upper Stoney does have a swimming hole. The campgrounds are well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and they have running water to wash your hands and face. There are water spigots in various areas of the campground. You must boil this water if your are going to use it for drinking. They also do not want you to wash your body or dishes exex at the spigots locations. The hostess was very kind and easy to talk with. They have fire wood for sale at the trailer right when you enter. We went in August and it was about 45 at night and 70-75 in the day. I would definitely recommend this campground and we will be back ASAP.
