Don't tell anyone, but this place is awesome. Even made a new bear friend named Henry.

- Kern Plateau Fire Restriction - Hey everybody, TMC IS BACK and open! All sites in all loops & Main Street are ready and waiting for campers! However, a fire restriction is in effect until November 30th for all of the plateau, including TMC. No burning of wood or charcoal. That means no wood campfires or charcoal grills are allowed! Propane or gasoline stoves & lanterns, and propane fire pits & grills are okay, but you must have a valid CA Fire Permit to use them. Let's be safe and close out the summer "Fire Free!" Hope to see you soon! Bob - Troy Meadow Campground Host

I've visited many NF and BLM campgrounds around the western US and this is one of the best ones I've come across. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Each campsite is spacious and has fire rings with a grill that are not all trashed and corroded (like many campgrounds). There are also picnic tables and bear boxes that are in good condition. Even the vault toilets are new and quite clean. Bob Malseed, is the consummate camp host. One of the reviews for TMC is his and he isn't kidding when he encourages people to stop by for a chat. He's engaging and friendly and also takes pride in the quality of the campground and that people have a good time there. Thanks Bob! Our 4x4 club will definitely be back.

Lovely place to camp! Very rural, no cell service but absolutely gorgeous. Perfect place to relax, picnic, ride dirt bikes, bicycling, fishing and connecting with nature. There is a burger place and a general store with lots of friendly people. Price to camp at Troy meadows is $18.50 a night or $8.50 with seniors pass, you need to place fees in a fee drop- this camp ground is a first come first serve, no reservations.

A+ Experience, paved campground system with running water. Excellent connector trails right across from the campground. Great single track trail system with scenic views.

Stunning, spacious campground. Had a blast. Has bear boxes which is pretty rad. Running water. Toilets.

Great place to camp- out of the way (about 1.5 hours from Kernville). However, if you aren’t into Motocross this may not be the place for you. It can get down to around 40 degrees at night so bring your warm gear.
