Along this unpaved dirt road there are plenty of sites to choose from. No facilities but saw one picnic table. Accessible to the creek but not creekside camping. Remote and cool at over 6k elevation.

snowed in right now. they didn't plow the road that you turn into so can't park too close. Could definitely snow shoe in.

Very dirty/trashed due to visitors that have no forest/wilderness etiquette or experience. Most visitors are there to party and not enjoy the peace and quiet. Broken glass is present almost everywhere you walk including along the creek. Trash from fishing supplies litters the bank of the creek. For those of you who have been there, tell me I’m wrong.

A nice campground in the middle of nowhere. There are no facilities but plenty of privacy. It's very isolated so make sure you bring everything you need.

Not open as of 5/1/21 due to fire damage. Pretty sights but not sure it's worth the long winding road.

Dispersed area open as of 24JUL20. “Upper Peppermint Falls Campground” was closed. Road & trail to creek blocked, posted dangerous trees. Definitely a lot of down timber in the area. Somebody’s been working hard lots of fresh cuts clearing roads.

Fantastic! Quiet and still open, even during these times. No facilities. I arrived at night so I didn't get the chance to look around, but there seemed to be a few areas that could be used to set up tents. Neighbors are within vision, but there's enough trees and bushes to create the illusion of privacy. The only issue is that the road is a bit sandy and has some pretty rough spots, so you may get stuck with a low sedan.

I LOVE this area. It is always so quiet and clean. I have camped here on big 3 day weekends and there is always a lot of space. It is also near the Ponderosa.
