As a recognized Sun Outdoors property, this resort provides a well-maintained environment where travelers can enjoy the natural beauty of the Jersey Pine Barrens. The park is designed to offer a balance between a quiet, community-focused atmosphere and easy access to the vibrant energy of the Atlantic coast. Whether you are arriving for a quick weekend getaway or a longer seasonal stay, the tall pine trees provide a sense of seclusion from the hustle and bustle.

Location & Surroundings

Located in Galloway, New Jersey, the resort is strategically positioned just minutes away from the Garden State Parkway. This prime location allows guests to explore the varied landscapes of Atlantic County, ranging from dense forests to pristine coastal marshes. The surrounding area is characterized by tranquil natural settings that feel worlds away from the city, yet the bright lights and world-famous boardwalks of the Atlantic City shoreline are less than twenty miles away. It is an ideal spot for those who appreciate the convenience of being near major travel routes while enjoying a rural, forested backdrop.

Social life often revolves around the clubhouse, where visitors can enjoy the game room or library. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the shuffleboard and volleyball courts, which provide plenty of opportunities for friendly competition among fellow travelers.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is never far away when staying at Shady Pines. A short drive brings you to the Historic Smithville village, where you can browse boutique shops and enjoy lakeside dining. Nature lovers often head to the nearby Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, a premier destination for birdwatching and scenic photography. Of course, the proximity to Atlantic City means world-class entertainment and casinos are easily accessible. For a quieter coastal experience, the family-friendly shores of Ocean City and Brigantine are also within reach, offering soft sand and traditional boardwalk treats.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is particularly well-suited for families and retirees who prefer a quiet, secure base of operations over the high-traffic environment of a beach-front lot. It appeals to travelers who want to visit the Jersey Shore but desire a shaded, forest-like setting to return to at the end of the day. Because of its robust amenity package and social atmosphere, it is also an excellent choice for seasonal residents looking for a community-oriented lifestyle. I went to visit a friend and this campground is very very nice. There is a fabulous pool that is so refreshing.it was terribly hot so my friend n I took a dip. There's a patio with Tables. And chairs that are pretty darn comfortable and it looks like you might even be able to have some kind of event there if you needed to but I don't know for sure about that. My friend is so glad she choice this campground out of so many in area. Her neighbors are extremely friendly n even helpful. She's new to rv living n doesn't know much Say her neighbor's right there.Ready to help her and get answer any questions and tell her how to figure out how things up.It's really great though. And I couldn't say enough.Good things about the place. So you should check it out if you're looking into the campgrounds

This campground is just ok. It was primarily filled with full timers leaving very few sites for travelers. When we were trying to park into our assigned spot the resident next door immediately came out to greet us and asked us how long we were staying. The spots are super tight except the handful in the middle section, which are much newer, but those are super unlevel. My biggest complaint about this location is the price. It is WAY TOO HIGH for what you get.

This is good 25 mins from the beach so not exactly a shore location, the property is very well maintained, the bathroom facilities need some TLC at this point and were not cleaned daily over the weekend (saw same bundles of hair near the shower stalls). I don’t go to RV pairs too often so not sure if the restrooms were above or below par, but it was the kind of place where you put your extra towel on any surface and only turn you place your personal items on top of it. And wear flip flops in the shower stalls.
