This place is so peaceful. A great get away from the work hustle and stress of life. A great place to relax with family and friends. A place where you can enjoy sitting around a campfire making memories and telling stories about the gold old days. The owners and property management are reasonable and kind. Many of my friends and friends who have become family refer to this as "Our happy place".

Had a wonderful weekend here visiting friends. They were having a social event for everyone at the campground. They had a pot luck and had a dj. DJ Jeff played music from ALL genres! He got us up on the floor dancing and even had us all reminiscing over Line dances we knew vs ones we had to follow the younger guy who knew them all it seemed. Great time, wonderful folks. Right on the water.

Although it is on the lake, the mobile homes there are very very old. Most seem like they were built in the 50s and 60s. There is plenty to do in the area with an abundance of bars and restaurants.

Just completed our first full year of owning a trailer at Shady Shores. We love the place and all the great friends we have made there. People helping people... it's one big family !!!! Nothing fancy ...just good times !!! Jeff and Sally Bechtel

The website you see is very misleading, a firm from Miami recently bought the park and immediately doubled the rent, its almost 5K per season, you can't talk to anyone at the new owners, they have ridiculous rules and regs, half of the campers have left because its ridiculous, the facilities are completely dreck and inadequate and there are no plans to improve them, its a bad scene and they have dealt the life long residents a very bad deal, the new owners are crooks and don't care about their tenants, BAD BAD DEAL
