It wasn't anything fancy, we just needed a place to stay as we are business travelers. Had all the amenities needed & we will stay again if in the area

I am writing this review immediately after experiencing something unacceptable during my stay: my personal ninebot e-scooter was stolen directly from my RV site. RV parks are places where guests expect a baseline level of security for their homes and property, yet clearly, this is not provided here. Management is aware of the security issues (see other reviews citing the same issues that they have responded to).

The theft itself is infuriating, but the broader issue is the complete lack of safety it highlights. After this incident, my sense of security has been completely shattered. We no longer feel comfortable leaving any belongings outside, and honestly, we are hesitant to even leave the RV unattended.

This park is definitely not safe for children or families. If adult property can be easily stolen, there is no way I could feel comfortable letting children play freely or cycle around the park unsupervised. The atmosphere feels increasingly deteriorated and unsecured.

Security’s response (or lack thereof) to this serious issue was equally disappointing, confirming that guest safety and property protection are not priorities here. Until they invest significantly in visible security measures—like additional cameras, regular patrols, or security guards who do more than scroll on their phone instead of checking passes and warning off stragglers wandering into the park - I strongly warn any potential guest to choose a different location. This stay has been a costly and deeply unsettling experience. There are plenty of other options in the area. Do not expect a true gated community at this location, the guard shack is a JOKE.

Very nice campground and getting better with handicap facilities. Still needs some improvements for wheelchair users. The biggest issue is the door for the handicap bathroom. Not enough room to swing the door open and not fall off the concrete slab.

The front office is nice and clean. The area near the pool is not. A lot of old campers that are falling apart and and garbage. However after walking the park, the back is clean and spacious. The park models are cute for the most part. No activities during the summer and the Tiki Bar is closed. I've seen many children here, including my own. Would have been nice to have activities. You need to provide your driver's license just to play mini golf and other activities, like pool. The office retains your driver's license until you bring the equipment back.

I love this place. It is safe number one. It is quiet. It is friendly Walking distance to so many wonderful things, including Food stores, grocery stores, restaurants, shops, coffee, shops, stores, you name it. It’s all walking distance, beautiful community, beautiful location.

First time visiting with our RV and we were very impressed. Friendly staff. Friendly campers. Clean pool. Laundry rooms were clean. Easy to park. We highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

We stayed in a cabin but own a camper and I grew up camping. This campground is nice. Quiet, safe and laid back. Has a nice pool and hot tub, mini golf, shuffle board, tennis and more. 2 laundry rooms. 2 Bath houses. We are tucked back away from any roads, but super easy access and close to tons of stuff. I'll stay here again!

Our recent stay at Sherwood Forest  RV Resort was nothing short of magical! Located just a short drive from the Disney parks, the resort's location is absolutely ideal for families looking to enjoy the magic of Disney while having a peaceful retreat to return to each night.

The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with spacious sites that accommodate even the largest RVs. The amenities are top-notch, including a sparkling pool, clean shower facilities, and a well-stocked convenience store.

What truly sets Sherwood Forest  RV Resort apart, however, is the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They went above and beyond to provide helpful tips for visiting the parks and even offered shuttle services, making our Disney adventures hassle-free.

Whether you're planning a family vacation or a relaxing getaway, Sherwood Forest  RV Resort is the perfect home base for exploring all the magic that the Disney parks have to offer. We can't wait to return!

We’ve been to this park a couple of times so far. There is a gate, but they pretty much let everyone in. The park is pretty large. The office staff is friendly, Daisy was awesome. They were accommodating in making sure our spot fit us. We have a large rig and the spots are pretty close together. There are also several mobile homes scattered in between and around the outside of the RV area. You are given an access card to get into the laundry areas, bathrooms, and community center. There were a few activities we saw on the weekends such as music by pool or a jamboree. The laundry machines require coins, there is a coin machine that only takes cash so be prepared. The location is the best part about this park. There are sooooo many restaurants around, Disney is 15 minutes away, Old Town/Fun spot is right around the corner, lots to do.

WORST ENCORE RV PARK /CAMPGROUND!!!
We have to say, our stay at Encore Sherwood Forest Community RV Resort was quite disheartening. The spaces were cramped, making it hard to enjoy our time there. Unfortunately, I heard from several fellow campers about thefts happening frequently, which made me feel uneasy. It's not a gated community, so anyone can walk in, and that really raised concerns about security.

To make matters worse, the place was not well-kept. There was trash lying around, and I saw several abandoned RVs that made the resort look uninviting.

Overall, I cannot recommend this resort if you’re looking for a safe and clean place to camp. It was a disappointing experience, and I expected better.

I have stayed there, nice park and is close to Disney. Should be under your 20 min to Disney property line, maybe a bit more to the actual parking lots for the theme parks. Disney is huge.
