We had an amazing experience at this campground from start to finish this past weekend. The grounds were clean, quiet, and very well maintained, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campsites were spacious, the facilities were kept in great condition, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and peaceful. Among the highlights of the trip were Heather and Lenny, the camp hosts. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. You can tell they genuinely care about the campground and the people visiting it. Whether answering questions, keeping everything running smoothly, or simply stopping by to make sure guests were enjoying themselves, they went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. It’s rare to find a campground with both beautiful surroundings and such outstanding hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience.

We go camping to enjoy being outside and relaxing in nature. Unfortunately, a large trailer with a large family (there were about 8-10 adults and some children—shouldn’t they have been in a group campsite?) camped right next to us in the Bass Lake Lupine Campground. The first day, they played music very loudly but it wasn’t during “quiet hours” so the camp host said he couldn’t do anything. I totally understand enjoying your time, but it’s not okay to be completely disrespectful of the people camping nearby. The next night, after 10 pm, during quiet hours, they were so loud and running their generator. And they kept on being loud and obnoxious until we finally decided to get up at 5:30. No sign of the camp host. We didn’t want to walk in the dark to go get them and the people would know it was us who reported them and we weren’t interested in starting an altercation with them. This was the worst night camping ever and we didn’t sleep. We won’t be back. Shared campgrounds in public spaces require people who are courteous of those around them so everyone can enjoy their time in nature.

Went to Bass Lake in December. Lupine Campground was the only Campground open at the lake. Lupine was clean and quiet. Robert checked us in. He was very helpful and informative. Lupine is right across the street from Bass Lake. We caught some nice trout at the lake.

We camped her with 6 adults last weekend and had a great time, our campsite had a direct footpath down to the lake (crossing the street prior to hitting the beach). There was enough shade to feel comfortable even in the hot August weather. Toilets were in good state. Bear sightings pretty much each day… so put your food items away people! 😎

The hosts were a very nice couple, taking good care of the campground. Most people in the camping come there for the water sports and beach on the lake, and more people stay up later than in most hiker-dominated campgrounds. Some of the sites are very difficult with tents, it's very rocky. But many tent sites have lake view and it's beautiful

It use to be a great campground but it has turned into too much of a party place. Loud music until the late hours. Very dirty. The lake is amazing which makes the campground tolerable

Mary and her husband are warm and friendly hosts. Camp ground is simple but well maintained and close to the lake. Visited in April when it was quiet. No showers on site, but the nearby Miller's Landing Resort has showers available to the public for a small fee.

My stay at Lupine Campground was a truly immersive experience in nature. Nestled among tall pines with direct access to the shores of Bass Lake, the campground offered a peaceful setting that felt both secluded and connected to the beauty around it. The campsites were spacious, with enough privacy and shade to feel comfortable, and the proximity to the water made it easy to enjoy early morning swims or quiet evening strolls by the lake. Even though it was a popular spot, the campground maintained a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect place for unwinding and disconnecting from daily life.

Campsite 012 is on a slope. A few flat spots for a tent. Three picnic tables. Restrooms are uphill. Campsites are close to one another.

Nice place to camp but there are a lot of bears! Saw 5 in 2 days. The forest service solution to the problem is to post fines for campers that have bears get into their food. There are no bear boxes at any of these sites. They need bear boxes here!!!!
