We wanted a shorter hike. So we took buckeye and lower skyline loop trail. The trail was not great in terms of scenic views. But gives some good high spots to view down the valley. It was a week day. So the traffic on trail was quite less which was good! It’s not shadowy, so you may want to choose your timing right. The numeral only signboards were not that super helpful in navigating the trail. Overall ok trail for an unplanned, short hike …

wide open space with courtesy and helpful staff on site. Animal friendly but lots of burs so the doggies have to be thoroughly checked since the paws collect them very quickly. Even the dog run was not immune from the burs .

Nice park. Nice disc golf course one could play. Trail marking could be a little better as not all shown are accessible. Also, trails are a bit rocky. If you're an experienced mountain biker that likes hills, then they were fine. Ebikes would have a bit of a problem. The Lake Marie at the end of one of the trails was nice; about 1.5 miles upwards and took at least 45 min each way. Outhouse about half way was available. 2 showers and 2 restrooms are available... they need upgrading. Lady at front kiosk was very friendly. If you're biking to town, the road has no bike party and the traffic is a little fast. Large native garden area.

Such a cool park! Alot of wildlife and a bunch of awesome trails. These trails were a bit rough, i did the skyline trail but the views were amazing!

Excellent park, complete with RV Hook Ups, California Native Gardens, clean restrooms and showers and over 25 miles of hiking trails. Entry fee $6.00. Hiked the Skyline Park Perimeter Loop Trail @ 10 miles. Well marked & maintained trail. Very enjoyable hike, saw a rafter of 20 turkeys, several deer, very large squirrels, California Newt, Red Tail Hawks, Kestrel, Red Head Acorn Woodpeckers. & California Quail.

Great place to hike or mountain bike. Dogs aren't allowed on the trails.Excellent views of the Napa Valley. Including a disc golf course, an interesting garden area to walk through . The pictures are from Manzanita Trail and Thatcher Trail

Nice park with 25+ miles of hiking trails and close proximity to Napa. We hiked the Skyline Trail up to Lake Marie. Saw 5-6 deer while hiking. Weather was in low 70s at 10 am mid August which made a for a nice day to hike. The area seemed a bit dry due to not much rain but I imagine this area is beautiful during spring time.
