Super friendly staff, a great location, and a nice quiet park. There are quite a few full time residents, but they weren’t bothersome at all. Our site was a little tight for our big rig, but we still really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was our site was about half grass and half dirt, so it wasn’t very usable outside. They have several sites with beautiful grass, though, and it looked like they’re actively working to improve the others. We’d definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at Snowy Peaks. The park itself is large (100 spots), and very well-maintained/landscaped with extremely clean bathrooms and nice meeting area/clubhouse. There are probably other RV parks in Buena Vista that are closer to the river, but for $60 night this place is great: level sites, easy to navigate, friendly staff, close to town. If you don't have to be camping adjacent to the river, Snowy Peaks is a great Buena Vista option. We camped at Snowy Peaks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our stay at Snowy Peaks RV Park. Very clean and accommodating. Nice friendly staff. Had live music Saturday night. Was so relaxing. Our sight was perfect for our dogs. Wonderful grassy areas. We will be back.

HIGHLY recommend!!! This RV park is a gem!! It's clean, does are very nice and the price is very reasonable. It's far enough from the road that the sites are really quiet. It's close to Buena Vista and all this area had to offer. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Beautiful location with beautiful mountain views. Close to town and needed amenities. Clean and well kept. The camper was perfect for our stay. I do wish that it had a TV to watch while we were resting from our daily excursions though. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a camper. That pillow top mattress was wonderful.

I have been living full time in my RV for over 3 years at Snowy Peaks. The service is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. The park and all the amenities are kept up very well and it's located near enough to towk to be very convenient, yet far enough to not feel the hustle and bustle of town. Highly recommend staying here whether full time or short term.

My dog and I stayed for 3 nights in the primitive camping site. We had a gorgeous view of the mountains in the distance and the park was pretty quiet. There were adorable little chipmunks all over the place and they were really fun to watch. We got the telescope out the first night and the sky was beautiful. The showers were acceptable and had ample space to hang towels and bags and lay clothing out. The staff was so very warm and down to earth and kind. While we were gone, no one messed with any of my stuff and everyone kept to themselves. There was a porta potty right next to the exit of the primitive tent site and it was really nice I didn't have to go too far to use it. The only thing I will say is make sure if you are tent camping to have very sturdy, strong stakes with a mallet. The ground is pretty much entirely rock so it did take us a while to find the perfect spot to be able to drive the stakes all the way into the ground. It was very windy as well so it is important to be able to make sure the stakes are in the right spot. I had zero complaints. We really enjoyed our time there!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a very positive experience at Snowy Peak. The staff was kind, welcoming, and truly made me feel like part of the community during my stay. They showed genuine care for their customers and campers, and that meant a lot to me. Their helpfulness, warmth, and professionalism made a stressful time much easier. It’s rare to find people who go out of their way to make others feel comfortable and supported. Nice RV park! Great people run it and they lead you to your site and make sure everything is good! All the hookups were great! The Internet is a little slow but doable. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

We werent even in our spot more than 15 minutes and we were already going to the office to extend our stay another week! We LOVED this place! Spent 3 weeks here with our 2 dogs.The staff really cares about this place. They rake the rocks after you leave to keep the spots fresh. Always driving around picking up sticks and cutting the grass. We had a spot with beautiful grass that they do water overnight with sprinklers so we just moved our chairs every night which is not a big deal at all. The bathrooms were always clean. Laundry was credit card operated which was nice not to deal with coins. We loved sitting outside our camper watching the sunset over the mountains with our dogs. We had several packages delivered which was so easy to pick up. Super close to town and the mountains! Highly recommend. We will be back next year for sure!!

PET OWNERS BEWARE – This Place Is a Scam, Not “Pet Friendly” If you have dogs, avoid Snowy Peaks RV Park in Buena Vista at all costs. They advertise themselves as “pet friendly,” but the reality is the exact opposite. The moment we arrived with our two pups (a Westie and a Jack Russell), we were harassed by staff. Here’s what you can really expect: Dogs are banned from touching grass. Let that sink in—they call themselves pet friendly, yet grass is strictly off-limits. Dog fences are prohibited on grass, even if the fence is almost entirely on gravel. Ours was 98% on gravel, yet still not acceptable. Instead, your pets must sit on blazing hot gravel in full sun all day. The staff actually walk around the campground posting signs on people’s RV windows with the order: “Move fence to gravel.” We have photos of both the so-called “manager” and these ridiculous signs. The “manager,” with a chip on his shoulder and an appalling lack of professionalism, used hostile, confrontational language with me. It was bullying, plain and simple. We were there barely an hour before we packed up and left in disgust. The hypocrisy of advertising as “pet friendly” while creating an openly hostile environment for dog owners is astounding. Thankfully, we went next door to another RV resort where the people were amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and—imagine this—our dogs were actually treated like part of the family. Snowy Peaks RV Park is a joke and a hostile trap for pet owners. Don’t waste your time or money here. If you travel with pets, head to Moon Stream RV Park or Mt. Princeton RV Park instead—both are truly welcoming and far more deserving of your stay.

Love staying here! I started my stay at the beginning of June and have been here for a month. It’s a quiet, peaceful location with very friendly people all around. The access to both the mountains and town is great, and everything is kept very clean. I work remotely and haven’t had any issues with the WiFi, which has been a huge plus. I’d definitely recommend this spot for both short- and long-term stays. Really happy I booked here!

Camp site with a view! Probably one of our favorite sites so far! Lots of room for the camper and truck also our wheelchair van! Love having the picnic area. It was spacious and perfect for the kiddos in wheelchairs! Easy to camp with another family and share the same picnic area! The Staff were amazing! Super friendly and always there when you needed something and always had a smile on their face! We plan to come back to this place!
