Always a great experience at Snowy Peaks. From location to amenities to service to equipment, it’s the best around. I start and end my trailer adventures at Snowy Peaks. Whether getting ready for the season or closing it out for storage, Snowy Peaks has been very appreciated. Thank you, Perry Alan from Leadville.

Nice RV park! Great people run it and they lead you to your site and make sure everything is good! All the hookups were great! The Internet is a little slow but doable. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

We werent even in our spot more than 15 minutes and we were already going to the office to extend our stay another week! We LOVED this place! Spent 3 weeks here with our 2 dogs. The staff really cares about this place. They rake the rocks after you leave to keep the spots fresh. Always driving around picking up sticks and cutting the grass. We had a spot with beautiful grass that they do water overnight with sprinklers so we just moved our chairs every night which is not a big deal at all. The bathrooms were always clean. Laundry was credit card operated which was nice not to deal with coins. We loved sitting outside our camper watching the sunset over the mountains with our dogs. We had several packages delivered which was so easy to pick up. Super close to town and the mountains! Highly recommend. We will be back next year for sure!!
PET OWNERS BEWARE – This Place Is a Scam, Not “Pet Friendly” If you have dogs, avoid Snowy Peaks RV Park in Buena Vista at all costs. They advertise themselves as “pet friendly,” but the reality is the exact opposite. The moment we arrived with our two pups (a Westie and a Jack Russell), we were harassed by staff. Here’s what you can really expect: Dogs are banned from touching grass. Let that sink in—they call themselves pet friendly, yet grass is strictly off-limits. Dog fences are prohibited on grass, even if the fence is almost entirely on gravel. Ours was 98% on gravel, yet still not acceptable. Instead, your pets must sit on blazing hot gravel in full sun all day. The staff actually walk around the campground posting signs on people’s RV windows with the order: “Move fence to gravel.” We have photos of both the so-called “manager” and these ridiculous signs. The “manager,” with a chip on his shoulder and an appalling lack of professionalism, used hostile, confrontational language with me. It was bullying, plain and simple. We were there barely an hour before we packed up and left in disgust. The hypocrisy of advertising as “pet friendly” while creating an openly hostile environment for dog owners is astounding. Thankfully, we went next door to another RV resort where the people were amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and—imagine this—our dogs were actually treated like part of the family. Snowy Peaks RV Park is a joke and a hostile trap for pet owners. Don’t waste your time or money here. If you travel with pets, head to Moon Stream RV Park or Mt. Princeton RV Park instead—both are truly welcoming and far more deserving of your stay.

Love staying here! I started my stay at the beginning of June and have been here for a month. It’s a quiet, peaceful location with very friendly people all around. The access to both the mountains and town is great, and everything is kept very clean. I work remotely and haven’t had any issues with the WiFi, which has been a huge plus. I’d definitely recommend this spot for both short- and long-term stays. Really happy I booked here!

Camp site with a view! Probably one of our favorite sites so far! Lots of room for the camper and truck also our wheelchair van! Love having the picnic area. It was spacious and perfect for the kiddos in wheelchairs! Easy to camp with another family and share the same picnic area! The Staff were amazing! Super friendly and always there when you needed something and always had a smile on their face! We plan to come back to this place!

Employees were nice but not accommodating. We arrived Feb 1st and decided not to stay and told the manager we wouldn’t be staying for the month we paid for because there is no internet and the bathrooms were always dirty. The manager refused to give us back our deposit because our winter special stay was until April. The agreement I signed didn’t state we would lose all of our money from our deposit. Kind of deceiving… make sure you know what you are getting into before you sign anything (apparently there are things you agree to that aren’t in a contract) BUYER BEWARE. You will lose money here and the wifi doesn’t work and the bathrooms were always dirty even after someone cleaned them…dirty air vents, dirty floors, and dirty toilets and sinks. Advice to management: tell your guest all the details before they sign anything and maybe clean the bathrooms twice a day.

This campground has two motel style rooms you can reserve. The room itself was nice. Does not include a private bathroom, you have to use the clubhouse bathroom which is two bathrooms that other guest campers use (so you may have to wait). On the plus side you don’t have to walk outside to access the bathroom. It was fine for a night.

Wow in all my years of rving. I have never dealt with a unprofessional business. My family was planning on staying here due to my husband going to work in the area. My husband and myself spoke with the two ladies working the front office over the phone and paid our deposit ($750) and were looking forward to the stay. However business plan changed and we no longer needed to stay at the park. I let the office lady Joyce know that we would no longer needed the reservation and would like our deposit back. She very rudely stated that we would not be receiving our deposit back due to their rules. I read the email with the rules and informed Joyce that we were indeed due a refund. We had not signed the contract nor were we told about the non refund. She then again stated that we had agreed when we paid the deposit and it was word of mouth. Not a legal binding contract!!!! I then asked for her boss's number to which she refused stating she didn't have a boss. So I asked for the owners number to which i was told she would not be giving me their number. She would take my information and pass along. So we wait!!! And just so everyone is aware their TOLL FREE NUMBER ON THE WEBSITE IS FOR A MEDICAL ALERT COMPANY!!!! FRAUDS!!!!! Funny how the office lady was unable to give me the owners number or have the owner call me. But hey the owner replied to my review funny how that works......

Views are amazing, very clean restrooms, the park is clean and visually stunning with the Mountain View’s in the back ground. Centrally located to great hikes, water rafting, Hot Springs. Basically a great time for everyone. I will definitely be back to visit this beautiful park.

My wife and I go here several times a year. Not once have we had a bad experience. Every one has been friendly and the campground is well maintained. In the off season their hours are shorter than the busier summer time so look for your reservations in their front door when you are checking in if they are closed. We will definitely being coming here many more times in the future.

The cleanest park I've ever been to. Very well kept, the bathrooms stay spotless somehow. The little hotel rooms they have are so cute and the mountain view one is amazing to wake up in every morning. The staff is super friendly and management is extremely helpful. Highly recommend.
