Its a beautiful park. If you want quiet, go during the week. Keep pets away from the water, it will make them very sick, kids as well.

Stayed on the West side. Very nice campground pretty quiet, had electric at every spot. They have water spigot around and a dump station at entrance. Shower and bathrooms house was clean. Lots of hiking trails around. Water was a little algae-y but some people took boats out. Pull throughs are a little awkward for big rigs, they're like 90 degrees angles in the middle so we ended up just backing in, but plenty of room.

My favorite state park, and I have been to all 27 state parks. It has everything for recreation and fun.

We took three of our Grandchildren camping for 3 days and we went to the lake and did a bit of fishing. Went to Jet Ski Beach and swam. The water was awesome. As far as the campground, it's clean, nice and well kept. We really enjoyed it!

East campground has flush toilets and showers. Nice spots. The thing I hate about this place is finding a location to launch a kayak or day use beach area. So much of it is fenced off. And when you do find a spot expect to share it with people 5 feet from you.

This campground and fishing area were absolutely amazing. The Ranger was kind and very informative. The park staff were kind when checking campground site payment receipts. Fishing was an absolute blast with bites and hooked fish all around. To many amenities to list. I highly recommend this for person relaxation or family time l, its worth the drive.

Quiet during the week. A few jet skis on the other end. Good internet connection. 4G 4 bars. Clean lake. Clean campground. Showers, dump and water available. Covered picnic benches even in the primative Coyote Cove.

South Fork State Park is a great campground near Elko Nevada. If you camp in the north campground, there is electric hookups at each site. The fee is $25.00 per night. There are flush toilets and FREE hot showers. There are potable water spigots around the campground. There is also a boat ramp, group campground and Ranger Station on the north end. On the south/west side there are 2 campgrounds. The fee is $15.00 per night. Both campgrounds are beach side. There is no potable water and no showers on that side, only pit toilets. You can drive to the north side and use the showers. This is a great place to boat, jetski, swim and fish. Would camp there again. It does get very windy and dusty there.

Beautiful lake... fishing not so good... busy and packed during weekend... quiet after ten pm. We stayed the week of June 25-July 2, 2018 at South Fork State Park in the waterside beach camping area. We were in our motorhome and have the Nevada Senior Pass which gave us our site for free. Sites have covered picnic tables, fire rings and grills. These sites are right along the water. That was nice because our view out our door was beautiful lake! Rather than side to side sites, these are end to end. That is good because we did not see our neighbors out our windows! This campground had boat ramps and vault toilets but no fresh water nor RV dump. Although there were signs to keep pets on leash, that rule was, unfortunately, rarely kept nor enforced. We had several dogs come to our door!! We also had a noisy and profane neighbor! Water and RV dump facilities were available at the east campground and near the visitor center. We will go back to South Fork State Recreation Area.
