Overall experience was good. Only complaint was the bathrooms. I was there Friday-Sunday and you could tell they were not cleaned. Hair on the floor in the showers, a sanitary napkin wrapper on the floor, sinks were dirty and it was like that the whole time. We didn’t except the pool to still be open being the first weekend in October in Michigan, so be sure to check. (Our fault for not checking) it was hot and would have been nice to use the pool. Halloween activities were fun. Great place for families.

It's a black fly...in your chardonnay. Everything was great except for the flies, holy cats they will carry you away and keeping your door closed does not keep them out. I literally don't know what can be done to bring them down a bit but jeez. Otherwise everything was fine. Would potentially recommend ice cream (scooped) instead of fudge but it's not my rodeo.

We had a wonderful time! The location is absolutely beautiful—just a short drive from the most charming downtown area and a stunning public beach. There’s something fun for the kids to do every day, from swimming and biking to crafts and the arcade. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We've stayed here four years in a row, traveling with several other families and booking cabins next to each other. Our kids range from age 9 to 6 months and they all have a great time. Get a bike pass for the duration of your trip and let the kids grab bikes and ride whenever they want. The speed limit within the park is very slow and I've never worried about the kids getting hurt. There are plenty of planned activities provided by the campground, just download the app to stay in the know!

We loved this Jellystone! Loads to do! Just ten minutes from downtown South Haven. And Sherman’s Ice Cream did not disappoint just down the road! Not a lot of shade but not a problem. The pool was heated and comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Perfect place to gather with family and friends, whether you rent a cabin, bring your camper or set up a tent. We plan to book here again!

We pulled into a beautiful site with trees behind us and a cement patio with a glider, table and chairs. Unfortunately, we were awakened our first morning by rocks hitting our rented RV. Looking outside we saw bicycle tracks behind our bedroom window and a large man with boys standing outside at the last RV on the left side of the road.

We did 2 nights in a cabin and 5 in a tent. Cabin camping was heaven. Everything was clean and functional and the TV is a nice addition! Kids loved the porch swing and loft. Facilities were excellent. Pool, jumping pillow, playground and mining were our favorites. Bathrooms super clean and actually smelled good. Laundry was nice for dishwashing but bring your own soap and scrubber. 1 of the 2 washers were broken and remaining one needed a "special touch" to get it going so maybe hit up a laundry mat instead. All staff interactions were great. Tent camping was not as great. Tent sights are not private (kids walking through your tent site) and people did not participate in quite time after 11p. A cabin would sufficiently block that noise but the tent did not so it was hard to get to sleep sometimes. Fire pits do not have grates so bring your own for cooking. A standard oven rack worked great for us. Overall we will return but only for cabin camping and save the tent for more secluded camp grounds. UPDATE: We have stayed to cabin camp 2 more times since this review and have been pleased to see many improvements. There are more activities and the laundry building has been relocated and completely renovated. We really enjoy camping here and try to make it an every other year tradition.

We just returned from our vacation and stayed at the South Haven Family Campground. This is the best one we've stayed at so far. The cottage we stayed in was clean, community bathrooms were clean, they had a zero entry pool that was so perfect for our little guys! Our boys were able to race little cars on a race track, mine for gemstones, play at the clean playground, and there were bigger things for older kids to rent. Everything was so well maintained and the staff was friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again.

This campground was amazing! It was very clean and the bathrooms/showers were awesome. You don't feel disgusting getting into a public shower in this place. It's all new-ish (built in 2009) and the play area is covered in beach sand, which makes it pleasant for your feet. The play area is huge and there is a great store for almost anything you'd need. They also sell a bunch of souvenirs that you wouldn't normally see anywhere else. They serve coffee, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and many other types of drinks there. Children can also go mining for only $4.50/small bag of dirt and stones. One small bag was enough for my three children. I would recommend this place to anyone! Definitely worth a visit!
