We spent four nights here while touring St Lewis. I felt very safe and comfortable here. They have washers for $1.75 and a quarter for the dryer that I did not get the time on, but probably 10 min. six washers and three dryers. they are very clean. The shower/bathroom is also very clean. There is a metal door that you can lock and a curtain between the changing area and the shower. I had hot water for the three times I showered here. Our site was level. I can see where some would need levelers. We stayed in B16. Most of the places we went to were only 30 minutes from the campgrounds. Walmart is 5 min away. The staff was wonderful at check in. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It's a lovely campground. They have cabins and delux cabins if you do not have a camper. It was a wonderful experience. There is a train track and we never heard a whistle close, but heard it in the distance. We live near tracks, so we enjoyed the noise. The traffic was a little louder at night, but a fan in the camper could drown that out. You know these things are here when you book the site, if the noise bothers you book elsewhere. they can't move the tracks and hwy for customers.

The KOA is easily accessible and easy to find. It's located very close to Six Flags. We arrived after hours, and check in was super easy, always appreciated! We stayed in the caboose, and here are my thoughts. Pro: its a caboose!! It's very cute and the interior is done in a very cute and stylish retro design. The beds are neat and comfortable, ample light and plenty of blankets, pillows, etc. The bathroom was neat and clean, towels and toiletries provided, if you need them. There is a small deck and grill off the back that overlooks the playground. There is a train that goes by which is fun when staying in a caboose, and we didn't find it to be too loud or disturbing. Cons: the shower is VERY slippery, with no handrails or grip at the bottom. Getting out of the shower I slipped and twisted my knee pretty badly. The shower was slippery getting into and moving around in while showering. It doesn't feel safe at all, and should at least have a safety bar OR some form of mat on the bottom of the tub. The other con is really not anything the campground can do a lot about, but there were a lot of 'stink bugs' in the caboose. They are perfectly harmless but they were kind of everywhere. I am not sure what exactly could fix the issue other than some form of trap for them. Would I stay again? Heck yeah! It's a caboose! And it's a lovely location, the staff was very nice when we checked out in the morning. As KOA campgrounds go, it tracks with the usual standards and upkeep. I did tell someone about the shower and was told the information would be passed on.

This campsite is very satisfactory. The air is very clean and the accessibility is very good. My wife and I were very satisfied with our first visit. The staff who guided us were very kind and explained everything in detail. We made a reservation for another day when we checked out and are visiting again today

This was an unscheduled stop due to vehicle mechanical issues but it was a nice stop. First, the young lady at the front desk with the unusual name (sorry) was extremely friendly and helpful. She even provided the name of a mechanic shop that also proved to be extremely helpful The trees are not in bloom yet but I'm sure the park will look great. The little streaming running through the back was picturesque. I was a little disappointed in the price as it was early in the season...not like the pool was open.

Location is perfect for visiting Six Flags. As others indicated, a lot of the spots are on a hill, but the campground does a good job on making a level spot for an RV. The office staff was nice. There is a train that goes by, so be prepared with ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. There’s a little creek for the kids to play in. Restrooms were clean. Thanks!

Nice folks. Site ok. Busy place. Very nice camp store. Had all kinds of things there. Not a lot of groceries. A few essential things and then other stuff for kids and so on. Campsite was not all that level. BIG step to get out once leveled. Front wheels nearly leaving the ground. Very noisy where they put us. You could sit and watch the traffic and trains go by. Trains often and loud. Not was many at night. Customer service was pretty awesome. Didn't really interact much but very nice when we did. Really a family campground. There were schools groups there doing things. Not sure what . But lots of kids for a daytime activity. Good for and overnight. Nice for camping if located elsewhere in the park. Park seemed pretty large.

It was a great place to stay. We used our trailer to attend the Bonjovi concert. It was quiet and clean. Family oriented. Just a short jaunt from SixFlags. And only 30 minutes to downtown.

Was a great little park. About 30 minute drive to downtown St Louis. For a few bucks more we rented a 'premium' site which was very nice. Had a 10ft by 20ft paved patio with a stone fireplace and lots of Adirondack chairs. Sites were mainly pull through, gravel and very level. Camp store was nice had had alot of essentials.

The office staff the greeted me was very polite and informative. The campground itself wasn't desirable. Granted, our one-night stay was a week after a big snow, but the campground was a muddy mess. Site improvement during the warmer months would've helped greatly. Having worked at campgrounds myself, I doubt these sites get fresh gravel that often. Plus, they have a Bobcat with a snowblower attachment, but somehow they leave the majority of the roadway covered. I had to shovel snow out of the tight turn to get my fifth wheel through. Just laziness. Bathrooms/showers were well maintained. Also, if you love the sound of freight trains, there are several every hour of the day and night that rumble by. I would most likely have a different review to give had I come during the summer. But, if you're going to have a campground open year round, the upkeep shouldn't stop when the Mercury drops.
