#16.5 Homer 08/10-21 Stariski State Park FF$20p/n Sites 13 & 11 - Verizon worked great. If you want to wake up and go to sleep in sight of three volcanoes and the inlet this is the place to be! Both sites are spacious #13 has room for two tents #11 even more. Hand pump well water smelled like iron and we only used for washing dishes. Trash dumpster by Two vault toilets that were well maintained. Firepits at every site, no bear boxes. Due to the views this is now one of our favorite camping spots. We showered in private luxury while doing our laundry at a laundromat on Main Street. Save U More nearby will save you more and you’ll find many not found in a typical supermarket items. A delight for anyone with celiac’s disease. We were in close proximity to several trails and the beach. Highly recommend the Diamond Trail which is about a 20min drive from campground. Especially enjoyed the privacy and lack of neighbors.

Great spots for camping. Private, outhouse style bathrooms, trash receptacle, fire pits, and picnic tables. Very relaxing

This is a quiet rv campground with some spectacular views! The place is clean and kept up. We had a quiet night. It is a short drive into Homer from here making it perfect to "get away from it all". Overnight prices are super reasonable and the bathrooms are clean. The water pump works well. Will stay here again.

A nice, small, quiet campground with no hookups located about 25 miles north of Homer. Cost was $20/night. We had a great Verizon signal so we had internet, etc. The park is right along the ocean, but on top of a several hundred foot cliff. Stunning views from the cliff edge! There’s beach access a few miles down the road.

Great views of the volcanoes on a clear day. Nice campsites and outhouses.

A beautiful view, but you'll want to leave the big RV at home. The Stariski State Recreational Site is another one of those hidden campgrounds in Alaska. You'd pass right by it and if you bring a large truck or RV you'd wish you had. The road is one lane and the campsites are small. Until this campground is modernized for larger vehicles you may want to stick to tent camping or bring a small RV.
