Campsites are big however they allow seasonals to park their box storage trailers on their individual sites. For 2 months we looked out our RV window and saw the side of a large trailer which was about 2 to 3 feet from our window. Campground has very few activities planned.

RV sites are large with 30/50 amps. Water is between sites and a little bit inconvenient but not an issue. No sewer on any sites but two dump stations. On check out from a long weekend there is a little wait to dump. But campground well maintained, quiet and close to attractions in Mystic. Great places to eat nearby like the mystic diner. Reasonable prices and staff very friendly and helpful.

Quiet park, great laundry, and the location was super convenient to Mystic, but there were a few things that were less than ideal. First, to no fault of Sun Outdoors, there was a lot of rain, specifically during both our arrival and our departure, turning our site into a bit of a mud pit... thankfully Crocs saved the day. While it was no surprise that the site didn't have sewer or very much gravel, for the nightly rate they're charging, I would typically expect FHU and a bit more gravel on the pad. I'm sure these rates are reasonable for the area, just a note. Lastly, checkout time is at 11a, and when I asked if I could stay until 12:30p, I was told it was a $30 late checkout fee. I opted to leave on time. Long story short, would I stay here again? Yes, but I think a few small improvements could take this campsite from "just another private campground" to a really fantastic destination.

We enjoyed it here. The sites could use some updating but everything worked how it should. Big sites for a RV park. Picnic table, fire pit, some shaded sites. Mostly grass and some gravel, somewhat level sites. The water pressure is a bit high. Lots of amenities. The pool is nice. Most children don’t follow the posted rules (parent’s fault) but what can ya do. They had a live band while we were here. The laundry room is decent. A nice little pond. Dump station, not sure if they have any full hook-up sites or not. Perfect location. Safe. A little pricey.

My wife and I arrived at the camp grounds on Monday 5/26/25 and checked in at the desk. The employee checked us in and we went to the site. The site was muddy, but what can you do about that? I had a little issue with the front jack after the camper fell off the block. I asked if they had a tractor to help but was told they couldn't help due to liability. Ok. Then after three days I went to the office and asked about a grey water pump out. I was told it would be $30. Wow. I declined and let the nice lady Know i was not a little disappointed it the trip so far. She was nice and said they would help and get the pump out done for free. Great customer service from her. But, it never happened. I asked again in the afternoon and she said she thought it was completed. I then got a call from corporate saying it would be $20??? I declined but let the corporate guy know I was disappointed. Now all that aside the campsite was quiet and private. It was also infested with ticks! Really bad. Took 73 ticks off my dogs and wife and myself. It was horrible. I understand the ticks are bad this year, but is there nothing a campground can do to mitigate this? Not sure I'll go back here and won't recommend to anyone.
