A Hidden Gem at French Lake š²š From the moment we arrived at Sunbury Oromocto Park & Campground, we knew weād found something special. The owners, Danica and Dalton, are two of the friendliest and most welcoming hosts weāve ever met on our travels. Theyāve recently taken over from Danicaās grandparents and are clearly pouring their hearts into continuing the family legacy while bringing fresh energy and exciting plans for the future. The grounds are immaculately keptāeverything feels peaceful, shaded by trees in a lot of areas, and wonderfully cared for. The washrooms are spotless, which always makes a world of difference when camping. Being right on the shore of French Lake is an added bonusāthereās something so calming about waking up to that view. What really sets this place apart is the genuine atmosphere Danica and Dalton are cultivating. They talk about creating āa haven where genuine positivity, connection with nature, and cherished memories flourishāāand it truly feels that way. Whether youāre here for quiet relaxation, or hoping to catch one of their future events celebrating local art, music, and entrepreneurship, it feels like a place thatās only going to get better and better. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already planning our next stay. Tips & Tricks ⢠Bring a few levelling blocksāsome pitches could use a little adjustment. ⢠The mosquitoes at dusk are fierce (bring spray or plan a cosy campfire when the sun dips). ⢠Take time to enjoy the lakeshoreāitās the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening wind-down.

This was our first time camping with our three kids and dog. Everyone since then has begged us to go back. There is so much for the kids to do and explore. The owners are amazing and some of the most friendly people we have met. They go over and above to make sure you are taken care of while there. They have a cute little sweet and ice cream shop that our family enjoyed while staying. We can't wait to go back the beach is perfect for little ones and sandy on the feet.

Stayed here for two nights with some friends and we had an absolute blast! We had a beautiful site right on the water, very little bugs. We had the best time playing bingo, being on our floaty in the water and meeting other campers. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very nice and affordable place to stay. Owners are fabulous and very accommodating. Very quiet and dark at night to sleep. They work hard at keeping the grass cut and very clean. I highly recommend this campground.

Just spent our first couple of nights camping in years and so glad we chose this place local to us. Danica and Dalton were so hospitable and friendly each time we ran into them. Our kids loved their sweet shop and ice cream. For a small campground, everything is within walking distance and was great for our kids who made lots of friends too. Our favorite place was the lake. The boys enjoyed fishing, tossing the ball for the dog, combing the beach, and the warm water for swimming. We will definitely be back to camp or just to enjoy the beach on a day pass.

stayed here overnight after a long day of driving! the gentlemen who checked us in was very helpful. the campsite is very clean, quiet, and has everything you could need. a massive playground which would be perfect if you have kids, lots of greenspace, clean bathrooms and showers as well. we commend the owners for their strict covid safety plan which does include visitors having received their vaccines. they state this very clearly on their website so it should really not be a surprise. to those who are leaving one star reviews because of it - just like you have the freedom to choose not to get vaccinated, the owners also have the freedom to restrict unvaccinated people from their campsite. please stop taking things so personally and leaving reviews that are irrelevant to the quality of the place š

Very odd place. There were no people around. Many seasonal had vehicles parked but no outside activity. Other seasonal camps seemed like they had vacated for the season. We all felt like we were in the twilight zone.

I tried to book a campsite but was refused because I don't have the covid vaccine. My medical status is absolutely none of their business and is confidential in my opinion. Highly disappointed with this is I am in the Atlantic bubble. This is such a discriminatory behaviour and we are in the 21st century. I will not be recommending this park to anyone as they are too selective in their clientele. Thanks for nothing.
