Sunset Point RV Park

I’ve been to a couple hundred camp sites at this point and this one has landed at least in my top 10 if not top 5. The location is absolutely unbeatable and the staff is incredibly helpful. All amenities are available on site. Sunset is absolutely breathtaking. The only negative thing I can say is that the showers are on the smaller side, though the water pressure is great and it’s heated on cold nights. This was the highlight of my trip through New England. Also for future stays: wake up early and make the short drive to Quoddy Head State Park for sunrise. It’s absolutely worth it and the Quoddy Head Coastal Trail is a great way to start the day.

This was a great place to stay. We primarily hammock and tent camping which make this place a little more interesting to stay since it rained the night we stayed. There are built up structures that they have a picnic table under and made it much more pleasant because of the weather. This was a great place for the view in the morning! It was gorgeous. The facilities were really nice!

Pull through sites are extremely tight. I watched several drivers struggle to park their campers. Sites 1 through 4 must share a campfire ring precariously placed on a hillside, with no place for seating. Many of the other sites have fire rings and tables across the road. Yes, the price is low but if I wanted to camp like this, I would have stayed in my driveway. Who designed this place?

Super Friendly. Quiet and amazingly beautiful. Felt like we stepped back to a simpler, sweeter time. Clean bathrooms, shower. Very well run with the best vibe. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed at Sunset Point for four days on a friend’s recommendation, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—small, quiet, and super friendly. The owners were great, and one of the main reasons we chose this place was because they bring all the lobster cooking gear right to your site. That experience alone was worth the stay. It was my first time cooking lobster, and the owner took time to walk me through the process, giving me tips and advice. Thanks to him, the lobster cook went off without a hitch, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. If we ever come back to Lubec, we’d absolutely stay here again. In fact, if you're visiting Maine at all, it’s worth adding Sunset Point to your route just for the lobster cook experience—it’s that good.

We just spent a week here. It was beautiful! Would highly recommend and would definitely return. The view is beautiful. The campground is super clean and very quiet. We did a lot of hiking in the area and even went to Canada to Campobello island for a day visit. Cindy in the office is the best. So helpful. Thank you!!!

Small campground, sites are too close together, but the views are fabulous. W/E no sewer, but a good dump station. WiFi was intermittent, cell service was good. Great place to watch the sunset and enjoy peace and quiet. Cindy, in the office, was very friendly and very informative with things to do in the area. Only complaint is the bathrooms and showers are way too small. They were clean, but uncomfortably small. Laundry was nice. Reasonable price, no amenities.

A small, quiet little campground on the bay. Beautiful view, and we watched bald eagles and harbor seals right from our picnic table. The sites are a little close to each other, but still quiet. The bathroom was always clean. The town of Lubec is an easy 1 mile walk.

Of course, we brought our own room (read: camper van) and they provided the eastern most enjoyable place to park it. This place has an amazing lawn that will have you walking barefoot in ease. Til ya reach the "Maine style" (rocky) beach. Friendly welcoming staff offered all the "dont miss" highlights at check-in, including the offer of free lobster pot cooker set up so you can make your very own "coastal feast" at your leisure at your site. Good thing too, cause resturants are scares up here, and service lacking. Totally worth the trip to touch the top of the United States!!

This is the easternmost campground in US, and closest campground to Africa! Incredible view, and gorgeous sunset, which is in its name. The easternmost town and easternmost lighthouse is nearby. Every camper should come here for at least 1 night. We stayed 3 nights here, even without sewer. The cell phone signal is good. Each site is spacious, with a picnic table. Enjoying dinner and sunset at the same time is so beautiful.

The park is in a gorgeous location and is bordered on two sides by Johnson Bay. The staff was quite accommodating; they even worked with us to rearrange our reservation when we arrived a couple of days earlier than anticipated. As in many RV parks, most of the sites are quite close together. The exceptions are sites 12A and 12B at the far end of the park. (We were fortunate enough to have site 12B for the last two nights of our stay.) The laundry and bath house facilities are adequate although it would be nice if the toilet stalls were at least 6 inches wider; there's not a lot of legroom for us taller folks.

Great campground. Sites along Bay are narrow but picnic table and fire rings in front. Owners are extremely accommodating... supply all you need to boil your own lobster.. bought down the road for $15. Good laundry room ..clean bathrooms. Nice area to tour for beautiful scenery. Great water access if kayaking or canoeing...or fishing. Highly recommend you give this place a try. They do a great job to keep campers happy. Even free coffee in morning outside office.

Camped all over and stayed at many many RV places. By far this is the best because it is so simple, clean, beautifully layed out and landscaped. This place makes you want to leave your RV behind and just tent as the tent sites, amenities and space offered were amazing. They offer coffee every morning for free and I met the owner and she was very down to earth and nice. Would definitely go again (and plan to) and would recommend.
