Tahoe/Lakeside RV Park in Truckee, CA

One of our favorite camp grounds due to its spacious camp sites and proximity to Truckee, Boca and Stampede.

Camp host was rude, unfriendly and no help at all. Why even be a camp host if you hate everybody and everything.

Great little man-made reservoir. You can hear the traffic on 89 a bit but otherwise a lovely, easy camping spot.

They have one of the best lakeside locations. You’re just yards away from lake . Thrilled to enjoy waves sound . Care taker couple are so helpful and friendly . Recommend this place .

Camped here for a night. Arrived around 9pm on Sunday (7/6), the host was super friendly and showed us the open sites, she even made sure we got a cute site :) Was $20 a night, only thing no running water.

The campground is super nice, no trailer hookups, no water spikits. Bring your on water. Bathrooms are nice and clean...no funky smells. The lake  is great for kayaking, fishing or just walking along the shore. Lots of campsites  for tents and trailers. Dog friendly on a leash. The camp hosts are awesome and super friendly.

This is a beautiful area but has some major negatives.
There are water spigots but the water doesn't work.
The tent sites were very close together.
Many sites were flooded in early June, no one can control that.
No firewood available for purchase.
The male camp host is unhinged and needs anger management help. His wife/partner was very nice. He yelled at her violently using curse words, I wondered if he was going to hurt her. I wouldn't visit again unless I knew he was gone.

Everything about this campground was fantastic EXCEPT THE CAMP HOST.  He was outright rude to us and many of the campers around us. We had 3 sites, 3 families total. 6 adults, 6 young kids.  We felt harassed by the host. If you've ever seen The Office, picture Dwight Schrute on steroids. Great spot to camp, minus the narcissistic host on a serious power trip.

It was nice, quiet has beautiful views. The water level was rising each day we were there. We explored a few trails in area great stuff. My most unnecessary part of the campground are the speed bumps on a dirt road with a surface like the moon already built in. Fact. We arrived there going east to west along top of the lake. It's hilly as f. I would visit Lakeside campground again though.

Hosts were slightly overbearing. I think there had to be 3 of them total the way they drove around constantly on golf carts or trucks. They were nice, but it was weird to feel so watched all the time. Other than that, super clean and beautiful area.

Nice spaces.  Most with lake view.  Quiet crowd.  Developed primitive sites with vault toilets.  Camp host but he is non-existent.  We don't know what he does.

Water is very low in lake and the fresh water system for campers is out of service with no explanation.
