I'm not sure if the woman that we spoke to was the owner or the owner's wife, but it seems that this place doesn't honor reservations. She told us that we had to pay an extra fee to have the specific lot that we had ALREADY PAID FOR in November. She was very rude to my mother & told her "if you would just stop talking" while my mother was just asking a question. I don't think people should support a business that doesn't respect their customers when they are being polite & also doesn't respect reservations/services that were paid for in advanced. *the disrespectful woman seemed to have had some alcohol prior to our conversation, which is very unprofessional whether you're enjoying Talladega or not

These camp ground owners are amazing. First time staying at these grounds for race weekend! If you like a quiet week reserved area, this is the spot! The ground keeper/maintenance guy, Leslie-his work ethic is beyond excellence! He kept checking on everyone and making sure all was well . I don't remember him stopping at all at the sites! He definitely deserves a raise! One hard worker! If you camp here ask about cousin Eddie camper! Classic you will love!!!

I stayed at the Talladega Pit Stop for 3 nights and had a really good experience. I set up my tent under some trees and was allowed to keep my car right by my tent, which was super convenient. Everyone was friendly and I was able to sleep peacefully. It was not “party city” like it is in the Talladega infield, which I actually liked. The best part was that it’s only about a two-minute drive to Talladega, and parking there was fine, so I had no issues getting back and forth. I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that there was a shuttle too, but I didn’t use it. The staff were extremely nice. I didn’t bring a blow dryer for my bangs, and one of the ladies was kind enough to let me borrow hers, which I really appreciated. The bathrooms are decent. There are two stalls and two showers, and there’s enough room to get dressed behind the curtain, which is a plus. The showers are an okay size—I’m just glad they have them. There are hooks to hang your stuff on too. The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower head comes straight from the ceiling in the center, so you kind of have to get your hair wet every time. If you don’t want that, I’d recommend bringing a shower cap. They also had free breakfast every morning, which was really nice. They sold ice for a fair price (not overpriced at all), and they had custom Talladega shirts that were reasonably priced. There was also a food truck, but I didn’t try it so I can’t speak on the food. They had a stage with a band playing live music, and they were decent. They didn’t play past 9 PM, so we were still able to sleep without any issues. It is right by a road and a small takeoff/landing airport, but at night it really wasn’t bad. The tents are up front near the playground and the RVs are farther back, so the farther back you are, the quieter it probably is. Overall, it’s a pretty quiet and peaceful place with really nice people. For a campsite, I’d give it a 10/10 and I would definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. Great atmosphere. Spacious campground. I travel for work so I’m not able to get the breakfast. But very pet friendly and reasonably monthly price.. For the talladega race it’s awesome.

We stayed there for the Yellawood 500 and this place is the best! They are only about 1 1/2 miles from the track so their location is convenient. But they offer free shuttle service! And don't worry about being hungry for breakfast because they had breakfast every morning. We would definitely stay there again!

We had am Amazing race weekend experience here. The owners and staff are so accommodating and friendly. They had entertainment all weekend and the provided breakfast was soooo good. RV Spaces are spacious, clean and well taken care of. Our friend left his wallet in the grass after watching the band and it was turned in with all cash and cards still inside. 100% recommend this place.

Nice, clean, and very well maintained RV park. Friendly staff and good location close to the speedway. If I could give 6 stars, I definitely would! They do an excellent job with breakfast, entertainment, shuttle service to the track, firewood and ice delivery to your site...just, everything! Hands down the best camp ground in Talladega, and where we will be staying for all of our future visits! Keep up the great work!

This is a top notch campground. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to all the customer needs. They go out of their way to ensure we had everything covered for our stay. Shuttle service to the track and the breakfast was great. Never expected that. Southern hospitality at its finest. Almost forgot to mention that there was a band after the race at the campground that was amazing and all part of the weekend.

Put. A mirror above the sink. I tightened your sink and shower head. Place a sub-floor or something underneath the shower. If you dont you will have to fix it sooner than if you had. All the other reviews enable this type of situation. Take pride in what you do. Regardless if its just a storage container. Pretend it was something someone possibly could call home. Rather for a night or a month. Quality should not be forgotten to focus on quantity. [Note to other reviewers] STOP ENABLING THIS BEHAVIOR One gets more than they pay for if its the standard. Accept less...get more of less.

Second time staying here while on a road trip to North Idaho from Jacksonville Beach Florida. I got lucky and found this place last year while on the same annual road trip. The staff cannot be any nicer or more accommodating.

Very nice clean campground with friendly staff to assist you to your site. The staff go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Case in point: When we arrived, we were told that they were going to put us in a different site so that everyone would not be packed in together. Our new site was in a much better location than the one we had reserved. We are self-contained, so I didn't visit the bathhouse or the cottages, but everything seems in place and well kept. There is a playground up front for the kids of all ages to play. Full hookups available with 50 amp service on several sites.

My husband and I loved staying here. We stayed for 6 months here through the winter into spring after we got a referral from another park who said our camper was too old. And if you’re someone with a newer RV, the older models are kept in a different section in the back so you get the best of both worlds! As someone who travels full time, this is by far one of the best we’ve stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the long term residents are a joy. Everyone minds their business but will still wave and smile if you’re passing by. Beautiful grounds and views that feel secluded, even though you’re right off the interstate and in walking distance to the dirt track. I took some great moon photos staying here with how clear the night skies were! I’d recommend this place to anyone coming down for the races, as well as any full time camper dwellers looking for a new spot. They have great rates, lots of nearby trails and parks, and only about 20 minutes away at most from everything you’d need.

Great little spot! Couldn't be more helpful or friendlier. They accept Passport America as long as there is no race going on. Sites are level and gravel. We arrived just ahead of some severe weather and we were assured there was a safe shelter right across from our camp site. We passed the night safely and reassured.
