Stephanie was great! She worked us in on a tight week and moved us when backing into the first site was impossible. The park is beautiful, quiet, with shrubs and trees that surround each campsite. Located near a convenient major street in Northern Fairbanks. Nothing in town is more than 15 minutes away. Nearby restaurants and shops. If we return to Fairbanks we will definitely book with Stephanie at Tanana Valley RV Park.

This place needs a ton of work, the road is so pot hole riden that I broke a leaf spring in one of there holes getting to my site, a little gravel would make a big difference,the woman that checked me in could even bother to tell me there was no water on site, before I went to the site ? I can't understand that this is there time in the season to be open and making money, but you close your wash rooms and laundry for renovation now? My site was supposed fit 35', it did but there was no room for my truck, it was in the way for the sites across the street to get out connected so the one site was moving early and it was late, I asked a guy that was driving a piece of equipment if I could park in the empty site next to me to accommodate the guy across the street he checked and said no one is coming in your fine to park there, the next afternoon I ask the woman the same question at first she checked and said it's empty and it's fine, then Half an hour later she comes banging on the door,no no I checked with the people two sites over and they said someone was coming to that site tonight, the office doesn't know if they have a reservation,and there was no late check-in after 6 pm and it was 5:30. and there is no way they can get an R.V. in with where my truck was parked anyway, no one showed up for that site that night ? That's what the friendly and accommodating service is not like ?

Let's see, no road signage re: accessing the campground, the laundry and showers are still out of commission as of this date (the web site was finally updated to reflect the ongoing repair delays), there are no bathrooms, just a single poorly maintained pit toilet (one for the entire park), their wifi is unusable and they have major power problems (significant voltage drops in the AM - to the point where a single small coffee pot can't be used with a 30amp connectoin) and one of the office staff is so passive/aggressive that mental health counseling should be required. What a mess of a place! When do people get fired? However, the sites are actually quite nice if you can get past all the issues. Good Luck.

We had booked a tent camping spot back in April for a June stay. At the time, tent camping was allowed and nowhere on the site did it mention anything about not allowing tents. At the time, their site also mentioned that they had laundry and shower area. We just happened to be looking at their site today and it mentioned they no longer allowed tents and their bathroom area would be cloesed for renovations. When we reached out to the business, they claimed that they thought they had already reached to let us know they were not allowing tent camping this year. Absolutely insane to be doing this with one week until our stay and now scrambling to find a place. There are now no tent spots available and we are looking at over $400 for a rental. Avoid this place at all costs! They lack communication and it sounds like this has been an ongoing issue if you look at some past reviews. Try you luck at KOA or another place.

I would classify this campground as basic as basic can be but for that really nice. The staff I interacted with was very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom (women) were clean, usable but absolutely nothing pretty or outstanding. Unsure how they keep the showers clean for the next person during high season, mine barely drained the water and I turned the shower head on twice more in the hopes of cleaning up after myself. Laundry is 2$ so is the drier. It gives the illusion of being in nature, while being close to the road and giving you easy access to all of Fairbanks. Over all can recommend for September, stayed there for two nights, wouldn't want to stay there when its super busy.

When camping locations are limited this place was better than nothing indeed. There was a nice camp host a the recently remodeled bathrooms still need some work. The don’t look pretty but they are indeed functional. They have washers and dryers that function. They also have a change machine if you don’t have quarters. There were a few people who showed up and camped and did not have vehicles. This seemed strange but the camp host addressed it and gave us a different spot. Yes there are some long-term campers but they were no problem at all. If your tent camping and can stay away from the t40s it more quiet. Best to reserve online and if walking up try to be there by 5.

Rooms=RV site. Wide sites in the woods. Water inside the laundry room delicious. From the outside hose- chlorine!!!! Yuck. Perfect location even during the Tanana Fair- trees helped mute the sounds some. Gentleman at the front is helpful and nice. Internet slow

this is a nicely wooded and well laid out campground next to the fair. the host was friendly, helpful and hard working - keeping the facilities clean and the campground well organized and quiet. electric hookups in the camp sites and a free dump station and free drinking water. my wife and I really enjoyed our time here.

We stayed at Tanana Valley Campground for 2 nights in our rig. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and guided to our spot. Matt and Laurie were helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They were available and diligently working to maintain the grounds and care for their guests. *we were told there would be updates to the laundry room which is much needed (dryer).

First impression were huge potholes that we bottomed out in.The sites were ok. It was quite a walk to the restroom, and unfortunately it appeared someone literally ripped a stall door off and people left the shower muddy. Staff was freindly.

Stay Away! That’s our experience, we’ve been full time RVing for five years. Transients using shower facilities and plugging phones into outlets. The road through looks like a bombing zone. Location to downtown Fairbanks was about the only good thing we have to say. The pictures speak for themselves. I hate to give bad reviews, but when I brought up the transient issue the lady staff members said they know and their location was hard to control the grounds.

We just stayed there for two nights and it was very positive experience. The only issue is that only one sink functioned in the ladies room, but the gents was fine. It’s a small wooded campground with level sites and electric. Also make use of the dump/fresh water station. Staff was very friendly. Not for larger rigs such as Class A or fifth-wheels but that’s really the only caveat.

Don't camp here. The staff were friendly but the bathrooms, didn't have operating sinks in the men's. The women only had one operating. The shower handle falls off one shower in the womens. The bathroom is always dirty. The road in and out of the campground is in bad shape. Not a great location.

Not well maintained. Campsite layout is disorganized and confusing. Camp host is unavailable for assistance due to smoking a bong in her trailer. Men's toilet has no plumbing. Other campers blocked us in with their car. Would rather have slept in a ditch.

Horrible! Staying here currently and no one answers the phone. We are unable to gain access to showers or laundry as none of that information was shared when we checked in. Looked insight the laundry room and machines look broken and old. After venturing to try and do laundry there was a guy lurking around a tent site that was not his and when confronted he said he was “looking for work” Does not feel safe!!!!!
