Backpacker to the backcountry campsite. Spent 2 nights at the park and got alot of hiking in. The trail is rated "Hard" it very well could be but certainly an awesome trail.

We had a blast except for the chiggers, they ate us alive. My mom and the dogs did not get chiggers on them, however my dad and I were in the rocks down by the lake, and we were covered in them. Be chigger aware everybody!! We stayed in the camp 2 which was so clean and nice. The shower houses were cleaned while we were there and it was so nice to have hot water, and flush toilets. We also rented a cabin for one night and it was so clean and nice, not brand new but definitely all we needed. The staff at the restaurant and the marina were very nice and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again, I would just be aware of the chiggers. 🙂‍↕️👍

This was such a an amazing place to camp! Nice fresh clean air, clean stocked facilities and the lake is absolutely stunning! Definitely will be back!

We had such an amazing time at 1,000 Hills that we booked next year's visit before we left. The cabins were clean and well stocked. The views are spectacular. Food at the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. The hiking trails are clearly marked. We rented a pontoon boat and had a picnic lunch on the lake. Thank you, Randy, for taking such good care of us!!

We stayed in campground 2.Peaceful setting. Extremely clean! Large bathrooms. A beautiful paved walking path that leads to The Lakeshore Grill. Highly recommend eating there.

We stayed at this park in early April right after the bathrooms and shower houses opened up. We're from Iowa and travel with a sleeper camper, and we chose this park in Missouri because Iowa state parks are about a month behind in opening. The facilities were clean and warm! The camp hosts were amazingly helpful and friendly!

Very nice park. Great bike trail that is about 5 miles long. Nice lake, marina, hiking trails. The campground is very nice. Updated bathrooms and shower houses.

I really enjoyed camping here. We stayed in May, and it was pretty quiet. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. Nice walking trails, beautiful lake, and really cool petroglyphs

Love this place! Just wish their hours were better like they were last year. Not sure why they close early now :/ either way the lake is beautiful and the beach is really nice. Especially when it's not crowded. Only complaint is all the sharp rocks as you're wading in the water.
