The geography of this park is its most defining feature, nestled between the calm waters of the estuary and the bustling Discovery Passage. Guests are treated to panoramic marine views that often include sightings of seals, eagles, and occasionally whales. The resort is conveniently situated near the heart of Campbell River, allowing for easy access to local grocery stores and restaurants. For those traveling without an RV, the on-site cottages offer a cozy, fully-equipped alternative, while communal fire pits and picnic tables at each site encourage an outdoor lifestyle.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
As the "Salmon Capital of the World," the primary draw for many visitors is the exceptional fishing found just off the Spit. Beyond the docks, travelers can explore the dramatic landscapes of Elk Falls Provincial Park, which features an impressive suspension bridge and ancient forests. The local marina is the jumping-off point for grizzly bear tours and whale-watching excursions into the surrounding fjords. For a change of pace, the nearby ferry terminal offers a quick trip to Quadra Island, where visitors can explore local artisan studios and rugged hiking trails.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is an ideal choice for dedicated anglers who want to be as close to the fishing action as possible. I stayed in Cabin #2. Very luxurious! Beautifully furnished. Well equipped kitchen with a Dishwasher. 2 Beautiful bathrooms. The covered hot tub outside is amazing. It is right on the Estuary and there are so many birds to listen to when the tub is not bubbling! And the fence is high enough to provide privacy from the pathway and a little bit of break if the breeze kicks up. The outdoor space is also well furnished. The perfect spot to watch the Sun go down! The hot tub also has good secure handles and a nice set of stairs for getting in and out. You can hop right on the trail and go for a walk around the spit! They are also decorated for Christmas right now. The lights outside are beautiful and the decorations inside are very subtle and tasteful. Super classy. Nothing tacky or overwhelming. The year-round First Nations art is also very classy! I wasn't there on a romantic trip but it is a very romantic place if that's what you are looking for! I would recommend bringing your own string of outdoor mini lights. Just a cute touch around the hot tub. When I booked, I thought it was a little bit pricey for a staycation... but I assure you, you will not be disappointed. After having my stay, I think it is very appropriately priced and worth every penny! Will definitely book again!

This is our third year coming and we love it. So great to have our own private hot tub. The rooms are very clean and the up keep of this beautiful place is always noticed. Friendly staff and personable. It is beautiful to sit in hot tub and see the eagles fly over, fish jumping, bunnies hopping around and seals playing . Thank you again. Highly recommend 👌

Spent a week with our RV staying at the campground in late September. Staff are super helpful and efficient in keeping things organized. Lawrence was quick in assisting with an unoccupied unit that left their awning out during a windy day. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommended as the staff go beyond the call in keeping the place tidy and a pleasant place to be! Awesome location is a bonus.

We celebrated our 10-year anniversary at Raven Cottage and couldn’t have picked a better place. It was peaceful, private, and spotless. The friendly atmosphere made our stay even more special. A perfect getaway for a memorable

We stayed three days at one of the cottages at the north end of the site. The cottage was appointed and equipped most beautifully with tasteful decor and high end appliances. The hot tub was stunning and the garden furniture ample. The garden is tended beautifully. Everything was super clean and the office staff were helpful and friendly. The indigenous art everywhere lifts the soul. The location is brilliant: it is right on the walking trails to the north end of the spit. We saw wildlife, as well as the guys out salmon fishing in the hope of becoming members of the Tyee Club. I added six birds to my Life List of birds. I would definitely come back here.
