This is our third year coming and we love it. So great to have our own private hot tub. The rooms are very clean and the up keep of this beautiful place is always noticed. Friendly staff and personable. It is beautiful to sit in hot tub and see the eagles fly over, fish jumping, bunnies hopping around and seals playing . Thank you again. Highly recommend 👌

Spent a week with our RV staying at the campground in late September. Staff are super helpful and efficient in keeping things organized. Lawrence was quick in assisting with an unoccupied unit that left their awning out during a windy day. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommended as the staff go beyond the call in keeping the place tidy and a pleasant place to be! Awesome location is a bonus.

We stayed three days at one of the cottages at the north end of the site. The cottage was appointed and equipped most beautifully with tasteful decor and high end appliances. The hot tub was stunning and the garden furniture ample. The garden is tended beautifully. Everything was super clean and the office staff were helpful and friendly. The indigenous art everywhere lifts the soul. The location is brilliant: it is right on the walking trails to the north end of the spit. We saw wildlife, as well as the guys out salmon fishing in the hope of becoming members of the Tyee Club. I added six birds to my Life List of birds. I would definitely come back here.

We highly recommend a stay at Thunderbird. The park location is on the spit and across from a beautiful walking path along the water. The park is clean, quiet, and well-maintained by friendly staff. We enjoyed the views at our site facing the river. You can launch a kayak for a lovely paddle in the estuary at the kid-friendly park next to the RV park. Shopping and amenities in Campbell River are close by and easily accessible. We had a great experience and look forward to a return visit next summer. Special thanks to the office staff who were especially kind and helpful!

Stayed in the orca cabin, very nice inside! definitely had a relaxing atmosphere. Loved having a private hot tub looking over the estuary. We will be back 😁 thank you

The Orca suite is one of 4 cabins located at this resort. This was one of THE BEST cottages we have EVER stayed at. Everything is top notch and so very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and watching the birds in the estuary directly behind the cottage, what a view! So close to everything in Campbell River, yet the feeling you are all alone in the wilderness once you enter your suite. We plan to return often. Thank you to all the staff and very well done! 👍

A very accommodating bunch! We had no reservations but they were able to slide us into two different spots for two nights! Very clean, well maintained & had everything we needed. Close to the mall and really close to a shack that had the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!

We love Thunderbird RV park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sites are all well sanitized as soon as a guest leaves and before the next arrives. Most sites are a descent size and roomy enough, considering we have a wide body 5th wheel with opposing deep slides. Location is absolutely convenient to shopping, walking and the beach.
