Nice campground. Clean, well run, friendly staff. Located on a nice lake with beach and roped off swimming area. Only negative is that water takes a very long time to get warm in the pay showers, and would like to see the restrooms updated.

Started camping here back in the 70's. Got married and had kids and took a chance to see id it was still around. Now we bring our kids here. We pray this camp ground will be around a very long time!

Very nice campground off the beaten path with a nice lake to boot! Nice size campground with many seasonal residents. Which is a great deal, by the way! Check it out yourself if interested in a lakeside cottage (RV) of your own. All sites are full hook up with picnic tables and fire rings. There is a laundry room, nice playground and kayaks to rent for a low fee. The lake is called "Lake in the Woods". If you are looking for a nice place with easy in and out and many sites that fit big RV's, check them out!

Nice place, kids not running everywhere, seems well kept up, kinda in the middle of nowhere. All the people we talked to in our area were really nice. I see some older post talking about management treating them badly, I have talked to the owner when we signed in and he has only had it a couple years and is doing ongoing work to keep making it nicer, nice guy and you should not hold old management or owners against him, great experience.

The greatest place to be! The campground has a lot to offer; a nice beach, a volleyball net, a basketball court, a playground, shuffleboard, and an open field for dogs. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I've camped at Timber Trails 3 times, and each stay is a fun and relaxing time. I love how close it is to Decatur since it provides easy access to grocery shopping and restaurants. Spending time at the campground makes me happy, I'll definitely camp there again. :)

Nice park. Lots of summer full timers with best spots (typical). Being sold so not sure how the new owners will be

Nice campground but they are not pet friendly at all! You are not allowed to have a pet of any kind on holidays and if you have any type of dog you will be restricted to a open area field to camp and can only walk your dog in that area. The owners are friendly until they realize you have a dog of any kind whether it be large, small, old or young. It is a shame because it can be a very nice place to camp right on a beautiful lake. When I have gone without my pups it was very nice, but when I came back with them I was treated very differently.

We haven't stayed there yet. We drove thru to look at campsites. There's alot of seasonal spots. It was clean and very quiet. We made reservations in July to go with my brother. They have a very nice beach. Can't wait to go there.
