The location is awesome. The view is also awesome. Looking out at the Mississippi with all the boats passing by, but the park sucks.
yes, a dust ball. we are on a 50 amp service in the breaker keeps tripping at 27 A on each leg. not reliable at all I would not recommend this park even if the view is awesome.  and yes, we’ve had 18 years of ownership of a RV park and know the difference.

Tom Sawyer’s RV Park was an awesome place to stay! The campground was clean, peaceful, and right along the Mississippi River with really nice views. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the spots were spacious and easy to get into. It was a relaxing stop and a great experience overall. Would definitely stay here again!

Tom Sawyer's RV Park is proof that a campground doesn't need to be fancy to be fantastic. The sites are relatively close together and nothing to write home about - but they're level, functional, and full hookup with 30/50 amp, which checks all the boxes. The staff is friendly and the place is well maintained. That's the baseline.
The stars of the show are the Mississippi River views and - hold onto your laundry detergent - free laundry facilities with newer machines that actually work. When you're living on the road full time, free laundry that functions properly isn't just a nice perk, it's practically a standing ovation moment. This place delivers on both counts.
The name is no accident - Tom Sawyer's sits right on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi in West Memphis, Arkansas, just across the bridge from Memphis, Tennessee. Watching the massive barges and tugboats push their way up and down the river is genuinely mesmerizing - the kind of slow, powerful spectacle that has you parked in a camp chair far longer than you planned. And when you're ready to actually leave the chair, Memphis is only about 15 minutes away - making this a perfect launching point for Beale Street, Graceland, the Peabody ducks, the Bass Pro Pyramid, or whatever else the city has on offer.
Fair warning on the approach - the drive in winds through an industrial area that can look a little sketchy, but push through it. The park itself is a completely different world once you arrive. Definitely coming back.

This is a no frills park but close to Memphis.  Easy drive to Graceland and The Pyramid (BassPro Shop).  There are a lot of barges on the river - fun to see how big some are.  You can also get mail/pkgs.  Staff is friendly.  Laundry is free.  Restroom/shower is ok.....needs a little cleaning/update.

Great for a one night. We had a large pull through site which was wonderful as we did not have to unhook car. Free laundry so I did a load of wash and dry. Enjoyed watching the barges going down the Mississippi River. We would definitely stay again!

This RV park had a beautiful view on the Mississippi River. We were lucky that a front row spot was available. We were just there for a night, but I would love to come back and stay awhile and relax. The sites were concrete pull through pads, which were easy to level.
Getting to watch the barges sail on through was fun to see. There was plenty of space between rv sites.
The only downside was the bathrooms were outdated and not sealed properly, so bugs would fly in when you are in there. We didn't use the laundry while there. I believe it was a few dollars per load.
Great spot when traveling through and it's outside of the main town. A quick drive across to the Tennessee side for food.

No frills campground. Good for overnight stays. Lady that takes reservations over the phone is pleasant, quick and to the point. Easy in and out. Not crazy about the industrial backdrop or never ending barge traffic but you did choose to stay on the almighty Mississippi so theres that. However the river is nice and the sunrises are quite beautiful. Bath/shower is a concrete room painted in black BUT shower stall, toilet, sink, fixtures, etc very squeaky clean and they cleaned again that morning. Only very odd and annoying aspect was that there are no campfires allowed at the campground 🤔. Other than that, it did what it needed with ease.

It was cool to camp along the Big Muddy. The park itself is not much, I think that's because it gets flooded. There are no amenities. I didn't use the bathrooms but they were on stilts fifteen feet up. One had a high water mark twenty feet up. It kind of looked like Huck Finn may have built them. I'd use mobile units if it was me. There were mostly travel workers in the area we stayed. The trucks starting at 5AM was annoying. The river pads were overpriced at $70 considering it was off season and there are zero amenities. Late check in was problematic , the office area was dark and self check-in is with open camp site envelopes placed in a hanging bag. The office is a distance from the camping, so you don't know what you're getting. Not a place you'd want to stay a week with kids.

This was a cool RV park right on the river.  The office gal was super attentive and had great follow through!  The proximity to the river is its charm and the barges that pass are endless!  Very cool! The laundry machines are free and they were new… bonus!  We enjoyed our time.  I like to walk our dog and there was ample room around all the loops to get our 3-4 miles in.  Attaching some pics … some cool tree forts onsite too… not sure they are accessible. We enjoyed our stay, everything in our site worked just fine.  Another bonus is that the Big River Trail is nearby and while we didn’t get a chance to explore on our bikes, it’s something worth noting.

This place is BEAUTIFUL and we really enjoyed our stay here! We stayed for like a week or so and it was great we were right next to the Mississippi River, got to walk the dogs next to it every day. Laundry was FREE but you have to walk it upstairs! At the time we visited (around new years 2026) there was only one bathroom and shower available and the shower was nice and clean and nice hot water. The lady there was so nice and knowledgeable I enjoyed talking with her everytime I did! There were some days the weather was bad and even then we still enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. We just really enjoyed it and fully recommend staying here!!!

We stayed one night and the camp site was 62 pretty close to river, with plenty of activity on the water with what I think are tugboats?pushing huge barges, and yes at night also. The smell of sewage was in the air and was glad it was windy to help push the smell away. They have free laundry but we did not use. We did however take advantage of the showers. Not the best but definitely not the worst we’ve had

Very nice. Do not hesitate to stay here. We took a site by the river in the wide open area with level pull thrus but there are wooded sites also that set away from the river. All sites have grassy lawn area. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Not  good, the electric  is on one side the electric  and sewer on the other side.Had to drag hoses under motorhome,never again!

It is located right alongside the Mississippi River...and the compound is well maintained. It is an RV park for those that enjoy being outside and taking in what Mother nature has to offer. The restrooms were clean and secure. The compound has a walking path or roads that joggers can use or just walk...I will be returning back to this park in the not too distant future. Highly recommended for the adventure seeker.
