This park is super quiet with the exception of a random vehicle on the main road that skirts the park. The staff is friendly and made several passes by the campsite every day. The campground roads are dirt but wide and maintained. The sites varies from tent size only to some pull throughs. Most sights are large enough for our 30 foot TT. There are no full hook up sights but water and 30 amp service is at every one. The dump station is at the entrance, updated and clean. The road to the “Tamoka Outpost” is paved. There you will find all your camping needs, kayak rentals, snacks and drinks. They even have their own beer on tap. This is one of our favorite parks in FL. You would never know that shopping and dining are less than15 minutes away.

We camped here for our anniversary and had the best time! Loved having such friendly and accommodating people on staff. The first day we were there, we had a water issue in the site and they were able to move us to another spot. Camping spots are spacious and have all accommodations. The showers/bath houses were very clean! We also decided to kayak on the river & loved our experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff at the Outpost. Love this park, to stay or to visit, it's a gem! Lots of wildlife to be seen here.

This park is awesome. We only saw four people and a turtle when we went. There were informative signs and a really cool statue. It costs five bucks to get in. Dog friendly.

A nice park for a walk, plenty of bird life to see. Got there late morning and still wasn't to busy. It was good to have the store in the park and able to get water in the heat of the day. Hopefully be back next year to see the bits I missed.

Great campsite for smaller trailers and tents. The rangers were wonderful and so informative. Nice short trails with ample shade. Fantastic spot for kayaking but pay attention to the tides and winds!

This was a beautiful and peaceful river park! My girlfriends and I rented kayaks for a morning paddle, and although the prices were a bit steep, the experience was absolutely worth it—especially if you’re planning to be out for the whole day. As Midwesterners, seeing birds and manatees in their natural habitat was exciting and new. There was a light tide, which added a bit of fun challenge to navigating the river. After kayaking, we enjoyed our sandwiches and went for a hike. While there weren’t many trails, the one at the north point led us to a historic statue and another scenic view of the river. I’d absolutely recommend this scenic, nature-filled escape to anyone in the area looking to unwind and explore.

Update, 4/2025: Roads (except for camping loop) are in the process of being paved. The Outpost starting having live music events about once a month (Saturdays) a few months ago! 4/2024: Great campground! Super easy check-in. We happen to be there around "Jeep Beach" in Daytona (lots of cool Jeeps in campground). A ramp in the campground was cool... one could back their truck up to it to aid in unloading something such as a motorcycle (nice for bike week). The buttons on the walls for the toilets are really hard to push - something to be aware of if you have a little one, or someone with limited strength with you. A must is to check out the Tomoka Outpost... free peanuts with beer purchases! 🙂 Very happy with our first camping trip here. Several places to check out close to the campground (reviews coming soon). Even a nice trail across the street from the park entrance (we rode our bikes, plus biked surrounding neighborhoods).

My family and I LOVED camping here. The campsites are kept clean and tidy, the facilities are also very clean and nice. We LOVED the gift shop where they have super yummy sweet tea and other camping necessities! There are plenty of fishing spots along the river and a nice wooded paved biking/hiking trail. We will return to make more memories soon!

We really loved this state park. It has a jungle vibe! 😂 it’s quiet with lots of wildlife. Our only problem with this park is the sandy roads/sites and overhanging branches that could damage your camper. There’s mostly small campers and tents that stay here. No class A vehicles in here. We are 33 feet and some places were tight. The dump station was horrible with lots of loose sand and dug out holes in front of it so you couldn’t even get close to the dump station…so we chose to not dump there and go to another place where we could safely and cleanly dump.

It was very beautiful. Going to come back and take my friends and family for a day on the water. The wildlife is amazing we just need to keep it clean. Leave it better than you found it.Please!
