Trailer Ranch RV Resort & 55+ Community

Overview

Trailer Ranch RV Resort & 55+ Community offers a tranquil retreat in the heart of the high desert. Known for its distinct Southwestern architecture and mature landscaping, this park provides a welcoming atmosphere for adult travelers. Unlike busy family campgrounds, this resort focuses on providing a quiet, refined space where guests can relax and connect with fellow RVers in a well-maintained setting that reflects the unique character of New Mexico.

Location & Surroundings

Situated on the historic Cerrillos Road, the park serves as an accessible gateway to the city’s many treasures. While the surrounding area is a bustling commercial district with plenty of shopping and dining, the interior of the park remains a quiet oasis protected from the noise. One of the most convenient features is the public transit stop located just outside the entrance, allowing visitors to explore the historic district without navigating narrow streets in a large vehicle.

Amenities & Park Features

The resort is designed for comfort and convenience, featuring level sites with full hookups and concrete pads. Guests have access to a clean laundry facility, well-maintained restrooms, and a clubhouse that serves as the social heart of the community. Outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped with native plants, and the fitness center and library offer additional ways to unwind or stay active during an extended stay in the Land of Enchantment.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Staying here puts you minutes away from the world-renowned Santa Fe Plaza, where centuries of history meet vibrant culture. Art lovers will appreciate the proximity to Canyon Road and the immersive, modern experiences at Meow Wolf. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountains provide endless opportunities for hiking and scenic drives, all easily reachable from this centrally located base camp.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for mature travelers and retirees who prioritize a peaceful, adult-only environment. It is a perfect match for those who want the convenience of city living combined with the security of a gated, age-restricted community. If you prefer well-kept grounds and a respectful social atmosphere over the high-energy activities of a traditional family campground, this is the premier choice for your Santa Fe visit.

Beware… the website is not reflective of current run down state of park. No office, no staff, no facilities other than w/d. Grounds are unmaintained. No security and area seems sketchy..Many trees are dead or dying. It appears to be a resort on the web. It is not. The people who live there were really nice and friendly. If you need a longer time stay to work in Santa Fe this could be an option. UPDATE: the owner has responded that we must be confused as to which park we stayed in. We stayed at Trailer Ranch RV . We had a six week reservation, left after one night due to park conditions. It was Trailer Ranch. I had to ask multiple residents if I was in the right location as it was so unrecognizable from the nice web pics. Not confused. Website does not match reality. Park is neglected and is not a resort. We hear it used to be great.

I have to say we were very sad to learn yesterday that our favorite place to stay is being sold. I don't understand ANY negative reviews. We have stayed at Trailer Ranch for 20+ years and have ALWAYS had a wonderful stay. The family Sandy, Truman, Joanie and her husband have ALWAYS been most accommodating, kind and fun. I realize things change, but it makes us very sad not to have Trailer Ranch available after March 1st. We wish the family well and will cherish all of our years knowing them loving Trailer Ranch. Be well dear friends. Cathy and Rocci Bryan

The park is very nice and well kept. The staff is also friendly and accommodating. We needed an extension cord to reach the electric hookup, and they provided one. Our concerns with this park are the location. Although we chose it for its proximity to old town, we were not prepared for the number of homeless in the area. We were also told that bikes had been stolen from RVs before and we had two bikes on the back of our rig. With no security and open access, we worried the entire time we were there. Unfortunately, we would not go back.

I can't say enough good things about this park. It is an adults only park (hooray!)The grounds are beautifully maintained, the sites are well spaced, the bathrooms are very clean (older but very nice), the laundry is affordable and the staff is great. I, for one, appreciate the rules. The location is close to the plaza, shopping and restaurants. On a side note...we had a medical emergency while here. They worked with us to extend our stay from 2 nights to 7 nights. The staff were very caring, understanding and helpful during this. On a daily basis they checked in to make sure I was OK, if I needed anything and checked on my husband's progress. Everything they did was above and beyond the call of duty. We have stayed here before and will definitely come back next time we are in Santa Fe. Thanks to Trailer Ranch for everything!

We were quite pleased with the staff at the park, though some of their signage at the desk seemed a little stern. Larry, our host, directed us to a lovely site for our small RV with a large hedge/tree on one side and a green lawn on the other. Very nice! The facilities were clean and inviting. Our site was away from the busy traffic side and very quiet, except for Romeo, the very vocal camp cat. He paid us a brief visit to let us know who was in charge and then wandered off. A very enjoyable experience, a little far from town center, but certainly drivable in a couple of minutes. We will stay there again when we're in Santa Fe.
